Welcome to the next new member who joins climate-debate.com!

When I first posted in March, 2022, there were 1582 members.

As of today, October 16, 2023, there are1682 members.

The next one will be the 100th member to join since I joined the discussion.

Yet, it appears that fewer than 5 members post anything in any given week.

The summer of 2023 provided plenty of material for discussion for a website dedicated to communication about climate change.

However, that isn't what interests the handful of members who post here.

Indeed, the very same handful who were already posting when there were 1582 members. Half of them have been posting for more than eight years.

What about the 99 new members who joined after I started posting.

So far, ALL of them gave up on the website.

So, welcome to the next member, who will bring the total to 1683.

There is a small chance that someone with actual education and training in science will decide to join.

I haven't given up hope that someone with genuine interest in how applied biogeochemistry can be used to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, maximize sequestration of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and restore alkalinity to the ocean, will be curious enough to want to discuss these things with a PhD.

Under "sealover" one can find the threads I started. Hopefully, the titles are self explanatory, and the introductory page makes the subject matter clear.

You are correct, climate change is a man made crisis. Fortunately, it's a market hype and hysteria crisis, and the planet is just doing what it has always done. Extreme weather has always plagued mankind, and well documented. As in the past, there are some who will seek to profit off the misery of others. Instead of designing ways to mitigate future extreme weather events, so the damage isn't as devastating. The doomsday-seekers use computer models, to create hysteria and panic, when the weather isn't so extreme. Not much of a prophet, since there is likely to be weather events, of cataclysmic proportions eventually. But, the cult claims that if enough people join, and enough money spent, they can prevent further deadly weather events. Of course, there are never enough 'believers', or enough money. The same theme, as any cult. Wealth, power, and control...

We wouldn't have industry, and modern conveniences without energy. Fossil-fuels will still be one of our best sources of energy for a very long time. It's pre-stored energy, and can sit in the ground a very long time, until needed. We really don't have the battery technology to replace fossil-fuels, as a portable energy source. Batteries will always need care and maintenance, if we hope to keep them in service very long. Most chemistry don't like extreme heat, or cold either. Most people won't see half the service life promised, since it's not an ideal world, like in the laboratory conditions.

CO2 is a life-essential molecule. Plants need it to thrive. Everything else need plants for food. Life is carbon-based, but plants are the only food source, that can take in carbon from the environment, CO2. The world population continues to grow, not just humans either... Which means the need for more base food, plants. Reducing CO2, will lead to less food available. Starving people are easier to control, or they kill each other off, fighting over food. Creating even a stronger dependence of the cult-government to protect and feed the devoted followers.

Solar and Wind, are the worst alternative energy sources. Both have a limited service life, 15-20 years, in ideal conditions. The 'farms' might go 25-30 years, if they can keep up with failures, and replace/repair. Which is fine, since they only have to work long enough to shutdown fossil-fuels long enough to destroy the most of the machines that use them. At which point, the cult-government can control that too.

In just a few weeks, it will have been five full years since Harvey first posted on this website.

When IBdaMann decided to post the home address (along with a map) of another member's home, along with phone number, e mail address, and names of his sons and mother and former colleagues, Harvey thought that it was appropriate to repost it.

99 new members joined and then gave up on the website after I did.

But Harvey actually LIKES the insult fest here, because liberal democrats SUCK.

LOL there are about 10 active members here, and 6 of them are one schizzo with different personalities here

IBdaMann claims that Gold is a molecule, and that the last ice age never happened because I was not there to see it. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that IBdaMann is clearly not using enough LSD.

Don't remember the post, or reposting it. Not really something I'd get involved in. Are you sure I didn't just reply, and it was quoted, along with most of a thread.... Annoying thing about this forum. Should only quote the post, not the entire history.

I use my actual name, nothing to hide. I'm sure that reasons to not use your name. This site is almost as embarrassing as porn. I do try to start threads, that are related to climate-change, but the tomato farmer derails them with his personal problems.

LOL I didn't water my tomatoes once in August, September, or October which may indicate the beginning of the new ice age predicted in the 70's, which indicates climate change is here. The tomatos know

The website is now up to 1686 members.

Antotoro was the 100th new member to join after my first post.

It could have been a valuable discussion about greenhouse gas emissions associated with factory farms and related issues.

I can hardly blame Antotoro for giving up after the mockery from the trolls.

I doubt that Angrymessiah or whoever is joining now have much interest in discussing greenhouse gases or anything related.
