And red means a lot of ozone. In the US, does anyone see how much ozone is over the US? And it's cold at ground level. And the jet stream is following a path that borders what could be a warmer stratosphere to the north and a cooler stratosphere to the south.
With less ozone to the south the stratosphere might actually be a little cooler. Just how is it basic cause and effect relationships like this are missed?

Grow up you do not even know if ozone is good or bad

There are high ozone alert days where the public is warned about health risk, then there are depleted ozone alerts where fools cry that the sky is falling

Wake up already

Ozone is created by different means at different altitudes and in different places. To make ozone, all you really have to do is take oxygen, and shove energy into it.

People use ozone generators (essentially a high voltage wire) to deodorize and to help clean the air by removing smaller particulates (such as cigarette smoke).

Ozone is also produced by cars. If you combine that with unburned fuel vapors and oxides of nitrogen, you get smog. All three are required for smog to form.

Ozone is also produced by storms. If it's raining (even without lightning), ozone is being produced in the cloud. The stronger the storm, the more ozone produced. Ozone is that 'fresh rain' smell. What you are smelling is ozone descending out of the cloud on the approaching side of a storm. There are downdrafts that form there.

Ozone is also generated in the atmosphere by the action of UV-B light on oxygen in the atmosphere.

You can even make ozone by lighting a cigarette or a campfire. All fires produce ozone. Think about that next time you fix smores!

These NASA images are fakery. It's like the so-called temperature charts that NASA produces. They do not account for all ozone, nor even accurately show where it is. It's just NASA making shit up again.

Ozone in high concentrations is toxic. Not to worry, however. ozone never reaches anywhere near these concentrations in the atmosphere or from any fire or other source.

It does have that nice 'fresh rain' odor when you get concentrations high enough to smell it (which is far from the toxic levels).

Ozone blocks UV-C light and most UV-B light. It helps to clean the air. It can be a component of smog, it's true, but ONLY if the other components are there as well.

Governments issue 'ozone warnings' for low level ozone. Why? Because it's a component of smog. Lately, they've also described as 'some individuals experience breathing difficulties' with it. I've never met any, and anyone with that level of breathing difficulties is probably dead from covid19 already.

Governments also issue 'ozone warnings' for upper level ozone thinning (even though we can't measure it accurately). These types of warnings were random, designed to create panic about the ozone layer. Some weather sites still issue this type of warning.

More hate.
James___ wrote:
Maybe you might considering that the US is about everyone?

California is effectively not in the US anymore. it no longer recognizes the Constitution of the United States nor it's own State constitution. I call it the SOTC now.

Neither is the US (which no longer exists) about everyone. It was about federated republic, and the people and the States that support it.

The SOTC does not support any republic. They are an oligarchy, implementing fascism. It is the same for the SOTNY and the SODC. The Socialist Oligarchy of the Territory of California, the Socialist Oligarchy of the Territory of New York, and the Socialist Oligarchy of the District of Columbia are in alliance with each other, but not with the SOA, or the States of America.

James___ wrote:
The issue or to be on topic, wildfires like bush fires are a source of CO2.

So? What's bad about CO2? You got something against beer and soda?
James___ wrote:
As in many of my previous posts, I have shown where the ozone hole or lack of one affects the jet stream.

Ozone does not affect the jet stream.
James___ wrote:
What might be of interest would be finding out if ODS emissions have decreased. The amount of ozone in the stratosphere is unusually high. Usually a polar vortex would shift and allow an arctic blast into the lower 48 contiguous US states. The current weather event is because the arctic seems to have expanded.

To encourage your rant. Florida is not a southern state nor is it a part of the southeast. This might be because Florida was originally a settlement of Spain.
St. Augustine is the oldest continuous settlement in the US. And it was a Spanish settlement.
California was originally a Mexican state which it seems that Mexico had little interest in. It's possible that because it was so far from the Mexico capital of Mexico City that Mexicans who did not live there saw little worth in California.
So it is strange in a way that someone who lives in what was a part of Spain would like to see what was a part of Mexico burn. Today, Mexicans and Spaniards do not like each other. So you must be Spanish, right?

More James Babble.

CO2 only makes up about 0.0038% (you were missing a zero) of the atmosphere
at sea level. As you rise in elevation the percentage decreases drastically. CO2 is heavier than both the nitrogen (~80%) and the Oxygen (~20%) so it settles to the bottom, i.e. sea/ground level ... where it is consumed by plants.

What Are Delusions of Grandeur?
Types
Identifying them
Getting help
Takeaway
Overview

A delusion is a false belief held by a person. It contradicts reality or what is commonly considered true. The strength of a delusion is based on how much the person believes it.

Specifically, a delusion of grandeur is a person's belief that they are someone other than who they are, such as a supernatural figure or a celebrity. A delusion of grandeur may also be a belief that they have special abilities, possessions, or powers.

Delusions are generally the result of a mental health disorder. However, not all people with delusions meet the full diagnostic criteria for any mental health disorder.

Many types of mental health disorders classified as psychotic disorders can lead to delusions. These include:

schizophrenia
bipolar disorder
dementia
delirium
major depressive disorder with psychotic features
Psychotic disorders can change a person's sense of reality. They may be unable to tell what is real and what is not.

Types of delusions of grandeur
Any delusion has four main characteristics:

The person having the belief believes it to be true, even when the existing norm and other people know it to be untrue.
The person having the delusion will not listen to any other viewpoints about the belief and will not consider change when evidence challenges the delusion.
The content of the delusion is impossible or implausible.
The delusion impacts the person's daily life.
Delusions of grandeur can take many forms, such as beliefs of:

Having a special ability, object, or talent
The person with the delusion may believe that they have a secret talent, object, or ability that no one else has or even knows about. For example, they may believe they possess a secret record from Elvis Presley that no one else knows about.

Being a famous person
A person with a delusion of grandeur may actually believe that they are a famous person and that the real famous person is an imposter or decoy.

Having a secret connection
This delusion involves believing in a special and sometimes secret connection or relationship with someone or something important. For example, a person with this delusion of grandeur may believe they are a spy or that they alone are responsible for relaying messages to the president or other world leaders.

Religious grandeur
A person with a religious-themed delusion of grandeur may believe that they are a religious leader.

energy = flow. Or to be simplistic about it, if heat is not energy, then we could not understand how much work it does. We could discuss how adding heat to water allows for 1200 psi steam and how a vacuum (is not energy) increases the amount of work that "heat" does. After all, a "vacuum" is an absence of energy yet in can increase the work that "heat" which is not energy does.

To be absurdly stoopid here people, DFM is burned in a "fire box". There are headers and risers. The headers link the riser tubes to a common source of condensate. There's also a "mud" drum and a steam drum. The pipes and drums are heated by a "flow" of energy from the burning DFM.
This in turns allows the pipes in the boiler to conduct "heat" into the condensate. And to further dry out the steam, there is a super heater that uses the energy in the exhaust gasses to further increase the KE of the water molecules in the flow of steam.
After steam moves past the nozzle block and through the high pressure turbine, it passes through the cross over pipe to the low pressure turbine. This turbine uses vacuum caused by the main condenser condensing steam to below water's flash point.
The low pressure turbine shows where removing "heat" content from water vapor produces work.
And this readily demonstrates IMHO that heat is energy. Heat's potential can easily be quantified as work. Just a little something I learned while going to school and having served in the US Navy and having read many books on physics which includes college text books.
And now if only I were an American. My service connected hearing loss has disqualified me from being one. It's like being found guilty of a crime that I didn't commit.

energy = flow.
No thermodynamics for me Mom!! (borrowed from the movie Peggy Sue got married and the line No Jell-o for me mom which was shouted.

No... energy flow. "Water" and "flow of water" are not the same thing, and neither are "energy" and "flow of energy". A flow of something is not the thing itself.

We're not discussing philosophy. A flow of water has energy as it is f = ma.
If heat is not a flow of something such as energy, then there is no flow. As such, it is a flow of electromagnetic radiation. Kinetic energy emitted/radiated by a body is electromagnetic energy. Basic science.
I think this is where your lack of learning about science shows itself. At the same time your perspective shows where philosophy doesn't understand science.

p.s., since we are discussing heat in the troposphere on the Earth, the emissions from anything in the troposphere will be electromagnetic energy. Thus the flow of heat is a flow of electromagnetic energy. That's staying on topic and out of philosophy.

Hello,

In my opinion climate change the most serious issue that our modern society faces. But obviously the actions that would cause an improvement seem to be very difficult and sometimes unpleasant, too. So I thought of how we can do something that is unconscious and also significantly improving our planet's state. Surprisingly, I found „Ecosia", a search engine and the biggest tree planter worldwide. With every research you can significantly contribute to reforestation projects in places where trees are most urgently needed. About 80% of the whole income by advertisements is donated for afforestation. Thus, it supports not only the environment, but also the economic, social and educational state of many third countries.
I think this is one of the easiest and most effective ways of solving global issues. If everybody uses this browser instead of conventional, commercial search engines like Google, the world will be quite a bit better.
I hope many people now start using „Ecosia" in order to contribute to a global change.
If you want to you can put this comment onto the forum that more people read it and stark using Ecosia as their new web browser.
Thank you!

Look retard, plant your tree, just remember that another million trees are being cut or burned every minute.

Then talk to your tree
