The battery on this car cannot be disconnected ever without losing the computer flash info to the trans, so power cannot ever be disconnected even when changing the battery or servicing the vehicle. Thus the alligator clips need to be connected to a 12v jumper box and the wire leads on the battery before disconnecting the battery. Your obsolete jumper cables would require a second vehicle, running in the garage which might be the source of your obvious brain damage

Still think you are full of it... When I flash a program to a microcontroller, it's permanent, until I change it. Doesn't require power all the time. It would be poor design for a car. Second vehicle, running? It's low power drain, just a battery, or any other 12 volt source, like a battery charger on float-charge...

I drive a 2010 Malibu, and have changed the battery since buying it. No jumper required. Did it right in a parking space in front of Auto Zone, to save a trip for the core deposit.

The only thing I've ever had to pay for at a shop, was mounting new tires. Lot of those "special' tools make the job easier, but usually a work around with basic tools.

LOL when I accidentally left the key turned to accessory the battery drained completely and since the car was still under warrantee the dealer sent a tow truck to the house and towed the car to the dealer for reflashing. 107% of the overbalanced weight dropping 3 inches/7.5cm.
At 30º, the drop to the level of the axle is 18 inches/45.72cm. That's a lot of work just for rotating the wheel. And with the science I'm pursuing, this has helped me. Just look at the rate of success, engineers with PhDs haven't been able to consider it so it is a challenging subject.

Carbon fiber ain't cheap or easy to fabricate custom parts. Carbon fiber only makes sense if used correctly. James already knew woodworking, before the wheel project. Maybe he will learn to work with carbon fiber later on, if needed. It's a completely different material to work with, Lot of learning, new tools, design considerations. Only makes sense to a complete moron to invest that much time and money, that could be better spent on the desired project. But, you probably haven't built anything, or designed your own project. Stupid, would be adding the complexity of learning a material, and figuring out how to apply it to an already complex and experimental project. Even if he already had the carbon fiber skills and tools. It makes little sense, since he's attempting to replicated a machine originally constructed of wood. He would need a working model first, before deciding how to modify and improve. So far, no one has succeeded in building a semi-functional model. Been a couple year since I search for an example though.

Why isn't more carbon fiber found on cars. It's been used for decades. Seems like if such a superior, light weight material could be used for anything, it would be used more on cars. Less weight, better fuel economy. With EVs, it should be seen quite a bit. Since less weight, less load on the battery, drive further on a charge.

You'd think it would keep accelerating. Why it doesn't is because the weight passing top center needs to accelerate downward. With what regulates it's speed is net torque - resistance. What a working wheel do is to get scientists and engineers to consider is it's the net torque that lifts the weights and rotates the wheel.
At the moment scientists just consider a teeter-totter or 2 weights , one on each side of a pulley. They haven't considered how much torque does it take to lift one or 2 weights because they only consider one motion and not an external force as in Newton's 1st law of motion.

That is to lift 1 set of weights. The difference between under and overbalanced weights is 1/2 or 9.8nm of torque. With a weight drop 2m(eters) at and average of 0.68 (68% of the torque it can generate) it will generate 9.8 x 2 x 0.68 = 13.3 nm of net torque.
The frames moment of inertia will slow the wheel just as the resistance in the bearings will obviously do. Since I am using tapered roller bearings, the resistance from that amount of friction might be inconsequential.
And with what I just posted, that would be a null hypothesis (right ITN?). I'll be testing an idea.

This is for an estimate.
I know that sounds confusing, it's just that I've done a lot of math. The frame weighs about 42 lbs. and has 8 sections with 3 beams and one weight wheel.
Then I calculated a specific point on each side. Because its centripetal force, trigonometry doesn't matter because it's rotating.
In this instance the lifting of the weights can be averaged between 2 points.
Basically 8 x 9.4lbs @ 32 inches x velocity would be the centripetal force of the entire wheel when rotating.
If net torque is divided by the centripetal force of the wheel then dividing that by 2 will give a number to multiply 32.185ft/s (9.81m/s) by to have a rough estimate for velocity.
And if my Bessler build works as I think it will, this would show where I've taken the time to do the math made the difference.

p.s., And this is where if I say the Sun's gravitational orbital velocity accelerates the Earth less when there's an ice age on, it's because the Earth's centripetal force has moved closer to its axis of rotation. My work on Bessler's Wheel allows for me to consider something like that. And this agrees with Newton's 1st law of motion because the Sun's gravity (orbital velocity) is an outside source of energy.
This suggests there's more to the Earth orbiting the Sun than is currently believed.

What I am building is not perpetual motion machine. Those power themselves.
What I am building is a GPE (Gravity Powered Engine). It will not be able to "run"
without a source of gravity to power it. This means that it relies on an outside
source of energy to power it.

p.s., Did I say I like math? With the spreadsheets I've done it'll be easy for me to make a detailed
movement of an 8 weighted wheel rotating and working. This will be necessary to show how much
energy is being conserved from gravity. Then when the spreadsheet is accepted as well as the build then it will be the first time that it will be proven that gravity has energy.
Of course builders who built but never tried might try to disrupt my work to protect their credibility.
Others will say "according to scientists, it is not possible". And that is what scientists say.

Alan, I actually went to school for Propulsion Engineering while serving in the U.S. Navy and then after I got out I went to school to become a machinist. Unfortunately my service connected disabilities wouldn't allow me to work in a dirty environment like that so I had to find other work.

With find the angle of a slope, it's actually y2 - y1/x2 - x1 but I prefer to use the values associated with each quadrant of the unit circle. That gives direction to my slopes.

While I might not live in the nicest place, I have cleaned up my kitchen just as I bought things for myself. Christmas isn't supposed to be about being screwed over by Christians. And today I'll consider how I can make the torsion bar supports for
the dog kennels. I went over forces, planes and angles last night. This is funny because I was having trouble sleeping because of my disability so I went over it in my head. And now I know of an easy design I can make that will be both aesthetically pleasing while making as little waste as possible.
Basically tomorrow I might have most of the parts made for the dog kennels. I'll still have details to add and of course some assembly is required.
What are you doing for Christmas?

p.s., Just an FYI. I thought if I could show that CO2 directly supports recovery of the ozone layer that'd help me to have a life where I live. It seems everybody is afraid of the IPCC. And since I had to create my own theories for that, I need to explain
