Why fight global warming? Didn't everyone get enough cold climate this winter (or still enjoy snow and ice). I was brutal this year, dropped down to the mid 30s a few times, even had a freeze once. I'm glad Florida winter is over, and we are back in the mid 80s. Already need to mow my lawn, well, mostly knock down some weeds, and mulch a bunch of oak leaves. Kind of weird, leaves fall, in the spring here. If the Earth has been warming, at an alarming rate, for the past couple hundred years, how come we aren't breaking record high temperatures daily? Or how come you northern folks are still setting record lows? Been sort of thinking about this since last week, when I heard on the radio, about maybe breaking a record high (87 F), set in 1946. The IPCC defines a trend, as 30 years, and that record is nearly 90 years old. We didn't break, or even tie that record, but we were 10 degrees above average... |
