Oil is cheap these days, torch it up, just for the fun of it. Man-made-CO2 warms the earth, 'at an alarming rate'. We fixed the last ice age threat, quick, by banning CFCs and spray can graffiti paint. We can win this one too, buy burning more fossil fuels. Cold temperatures, weaken the entire body, in general. We burn a lot of calories maintaining body temperature. Viruses spread easier during cold, wet, miserable weather, because only idiot go out to play in that mess. We can fix the unemployment problem by stepping up construction on the border wall, and deporting illegal immigrants. Democrats will just have to get se to doing actual work, rather than sitting in a cubicle all day, playing online games, and looking at pornagraphy, when the boss isn't looking. There will be more manufacturing jobs, since America, and many other countries, will be less enthusiastic about buying cheap, plastic, covid-19 infected crap from China. We can produce crappy consumer products, just as badly. |

Old people could get pneumonia easily if they go out in cold, miserable weather. Even opening a window could be deadly for some old people( common practice in hospitals to get rid of old unwanted patients) Cold temperatures, weaken the entire body, in general. We burn a lot of calories maintaining body temperature I agree. The immunity also goes down with cold weather because lack of sunshine and vitamine D. What drop in temperature? In the last year there have been twice as many new record high temperature set as record lows. Last year was the 2nd warmest year on record despite being an El Nino / La Nina neutral year and solar activity being at solar minimum conditions. 2020 is already on a similar pace. |
