I forgot to mention that Perú has fallen as well.

In the elections that just occurred, conservative Keiko Fujimori won ... until enough votes somehow materialized after the polls closed to push Communist candidate Pedro Castillo over the top.

The funny thing is that no one can find any Peruvian mail-in voters who voted for Castillo.

In Peru, conservative Keiko Fujimori has lead in presidential election

LIMA, Peru — The daughter of an imprisoned former president was leading the race for Peru's presidency late Sunday, hours after polls closed in a runoff election held as the coronavirus pandemic continues to batter the Andean country.

With 42 percent of votes tallied, conservative Keiko Fujimori had 52.9% of the vote, while rural teacher-turned-political novice Pedro Castillo had 47 percent, according to official results. This is Fujimori's third run for president, a role her father held in the 1990s.

The polarizing populist candidates have promised coronavirus vaccines for all and other strategies to alleviate the health emergency that has killed more than 180,000 people in Peru and pushed millions into poverty. The election followed a statistical revision from Peru's government that more than doubled the COVID-19 death toll previously acknowledged by officials.

So ... what happened with this thread was that I originally called it "Perú" (with an accent mark over the "u") and the software didn't like it and the page wouldn't work. Branner changed it to a normal "u" and it now works, and I am posting this in it.

However, I then created a separate thread called "Peru" to which gfm7175 responded. This is why there are currently two threads called "Peru"

My first thought was that big tech was putting the kabosh on all posts concerning voting irregularities in Perú. It's more plausible than a "ú" crashing a page ... or at least it was more plausible. Not any more.

A perfectly reasonable suspicion, considering what's happening the world today.

My wife was on a forum and the subject went to card games and 500 and Euchre were the topic and she explained to someone how Trump cards are used and the forum was blocked for using the word Trump.

Sounds like that need to find or create a forum to discuss their card games now!
