This has a potential issue until it's realized that as the weight moves closer
to the disc (in the upper left), the line to the weight will never be behind the
weight creating resistance/drag). And the edge of the disc the line is on to

weight is the fulcrum.
Math will determine the amount of retraction of the weight to the radius of
the disc. Then because I know the amount of retraction (underbalance) I
need I'll be able to do the math and know the radius I'll need.

James_, I don't know quite how to tell you this, but the extra momentum resulted in your wheel rotating ... less than 90 degrees. I'm not an expert in Bessler wheels but I believe that your wheel is going to have to do a little bit better than that.

James_, I don't know if you realize this, but torque is not rotation, and it is not a measure of either distance or angle. Any distance associated with torque is the force's distance from the fulcrum, not from one angle to another.

James_, I don't know how to break it to you, but you are specifically applying no torque to your wheel after its initial spin. Your Bessler wheel will rotate on its own momentum until resistance-induced deceleration reduces angular momentum to zero.

Granted, it's a minor problem, r^2 vs (1/3)πh2(3R - h) and everyone in here knows that (1/3)πh2(3R - h) is the right divisor for g = Gm/x where x is the surface area based on radius/distance from the center of a spherical object.
And what you guys are telling me (keepit) is that if I am going to discuss a potential source of green energy to reduce the world's global carbon footprint because we had ITN walk around the world with a thermometer measuring the temperature. That guy is dedicated to finding out the "true" temperature of the atmosphere. I admire his dedication to finding the truth. I wish more people were like him.
And when we consider math as I just mentioned, then can we consider how much work is performed when the tropopause moves in the atmosphere. There's no such thing as a free lunch, right? And yet the movement of the tropopause is basically perpetual motion because it's an affect created by other forces. But because other forces create the effect then it's not perpetual motion. And this proves why perpetual motion is impossible. Energy can only be conserved.

Nope. A Bessler wheel simulates an imbalanced (lopsided) wheel which will come to a grinding halt at the exact same time that a balanced but otherwise equivalent wheel does under the exact same circumstances.
