The MSM has become the Ministry of Propaganda for the DNC and for Leftists worldwide, in exactly the same manner that Joseph Goebbles ran his. It's straight out of the Communist Manifesto:

6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.

The 1st Amendment is intended, among other things, to ensure an educated electorate by guaranteeing a free press. The free press has been eliminated and replaced by the Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda.

It would really be a terrible shame to not have an educated electorate if the US actually had free and fair elections.

Now regarding the second part of the Manifesto's 6th commandment concerning the centralization of the means of transportation, once hydrocarbons and combustion engines are banned in the name of Global Warming, all that will remain will be the "government approved" public transportation for which the government will control access.

It really appears that mass transit is the goal, and personal transportation nearly eliminated, or expensive, is you want something more than a bicycle or skateboard. Mass transit does away with individualism, and provides a captive audience for propaganda, and indoctrination. You have large groups of people, waiting at stations, on the buses and trains, that can do little, to avoid seeing or hearing the daily educational messages. You can put in your earbuds, or play with your phone, but you still need to be aware of what's going on around you, so you don't miss you stop, or boarding on time. Of course, you would likely be using the 'free' WiFi, which would be free, except for the public service announcements, and advertising. Not to mention, whatever snooping they might want to do on your device.

The biggest problem with mass transit that's government approved is simply the vast expanses of the United States.

Trains aren't practical as a mode of transportation. They're okay for moving bulk cargo around, but passengers are quite a different story.

Airlines don't go door to door. Neither do trains.

Cargo will still have to be moved. So will people. That's how an economy can function. Places that try to shut down transportation have really sucky economies.

So who are the socialists going to steal from?

Nope, trains don't go door-to-door, neither do buses. Mass transit, only works in areas of high population densities, where they only need to walk a short distance from a station/bus stop. Every where else, people still have to commute, to get to a station/bus stop. Most of the time, it takes longer, and doesn't make sense to use mass transit, than just to drive the entire way.

Quite right. Even in cities here out West, mass transit does not go anywhere near where you need to go much of the time, and you must drive to the bus/train stop.
