Yet another summer comes to an end

As summer wanes into autumn, It is nice to reflect on the weather so far this year.

It is different for different places, of course, and I've have a chance to experience weather across the U.S. again this year in my travels.

Western Washington experiences a warmer and drier than usual spring (I'm glad it came early and nice! Winters in Western Washington can be so dreary!). It did result in early burn bans, but the Stage 1 bans didn't interfere with people celebrating the 250th anniversary of our great nation with consumer fireworks. Others went to see one of the many public displays that people like me put on.

Summer was generally very nice. I've done several public displays (the latest just this last weekend). It was for a town that is very proud of their community. The town parade involves just about everyone in one way or another. Love those small towns...the heart of the nation!

I did have to deal with the effects left behind by an F3 tornado that ripped through a town I was traveling to (it hit just the week before!). Whadda mess. It left only toothpicks for houses and a couple of warehouses, where the tornado touched down. Fortunately, the rest of the town came through it with little damage. I saw some great community support to help out those people affected. Very touching.

Wisconsin can be a very beautiful place, but it can be quite humid as well, particularly near Lake Winnebago. About midweek a cold front moved through that dried out things considerably. A nice relief to a week of building and shooting shells. As always, that show sold out public seating.

The blackberries have come and gone, Seafair has come and gone, and the state fairs are running now. The days are noticeably shorter as we approach the equinox. Soon the frost will come and the violent storms of November as the upper air cools. Then we settle in for the long dreary winter drizzle once again.

The hurricane season this year has been quite minimal. This unfortunately means more people will be badly affected by next year, as they move into areas exposed to such storm activity (it's always the newbies that are unprepared for it).

Washington DC recently had a nasty rainstorm, and it passed off to the Southeast as the front progressed out to sea. Tornado activity was a bit more pronounced further north this year, as cold upper air met hot moist air more often in northern States than the usual southern ones.

The prediction is for a strong El Nino cycle to occur, as the equatorial currents have almost totally pinched off the counter-current, leaving warmer water blocked from eastward travel. As usual, Democrats are predicting Doom and Gloom (why do they like Doom and Gloom so much?).

Eastern Washington experienced a devastating wildfire just north of Spokane, started by an arsonist (our stupid governor Ferguson blamed it on global warming!). A lot of people lost everything in that fire, and the Spokane community came together to help them out in their time of need.

What will the winter bring?

I'm betting that your travels were like mine, i.e. still showing absolutely no signs of any Global Warming whatsoever. I also have come to believe that there really isn't any global climate; I've been searching and searching and searching but it is nowhere to be found on this earth.

I hate to wander off topic, but do you recall which Dominican coral reefs are no more? I figured I should check there for global climate as well because it might have changed.
Dominican Coral Reefs

Oh, by the way, the ocean's alkalinity isn't showing any signs of depletion. Maybe that's why the weather is always so unchangingly mild.

Heh. Of course there is no such thing as a global climate.
The tornado I had to deal with in Wisconsin was caused by a fast moving cold front, so there goes that idea of warming even in that area of Wisconsin, much less the entire Earth.

The Sun has been a remarkably stable star, so there really is no factor to cause global warming that I can find. Indeed, the Earth is probably slightly cooler right now as we recently passed through aphelion.

Can't think of any that are no more.
Dominican, Hawaiian, Australian, the Pacific Northwest...all of them are healthy and beautiful and still attracting tourists.

Not surprising, since alkalinity is not a chemical.

Money is not a chemical.
So, how is it possible for by bank account to get "depleted"?

IS CLIMATE-DEBATE.COM A "DEAD" WEBSITE?

I'll ask that exact question and direct it to GOOGLE.

Google inquiry: "Is climate-debate.com a 'dead' website?"

Google say: "Yes, climate-debate.com functions largely as an empty shell or inactive forum rather than an active community.

* Loss of Traffic: Observers note that search engines stopped directing new users to the domain, cutting off the influx of participants.

* Inactivity: Core regulator commenters have largely abandoned posting, leaving behind an inactive archive.

* Domain Focus: Any remaining presence on the site has shifted away from active discussion and toward personal appeals or unrelated content."
