The French are still protesting hard, even though the government folded (temporarily) on the carbon fuel tax hike. Guess they didn't buy the stall tactic, and pushing hard for an end to the 'Climate Change' nonsense. The have also spawn some other protests, one being environmentalist, pushing for the government to do more toward preventing 'Global Warming'. Got a hunch that's not going to work out well. The police are using a generous quantity of Tear Gas on protesters, hope it's not a 'greenhouse' gas, certainly couldn't be good for the environment. Must be a real bummer living around there, even if you aren't protesting, you'll need a mask. Must be brutal on the local wildlife, if any. Hard to tell what's in those exotic, gourmet dishes.

The news stories I read, also made mention of 'professional' protestors being responsible for the vandalism, violence, and looting. Seems like an unusual career choice. Wonder how much they get paid, is it hourly, or on a salary, or per event? Do they get benefits, like health care, bail bond, legal assistance, pension plan? Is the stuff they loot, like a bonus, or do they have to hand it over to their employers? But seriously, they used the 'professional protesters' think during the Ferguson riots, but much of the video, seemed like it was most of the crowds doing damage, and looting. Maybe they just get things started, and most of the local protesters figure its a good idea. I mean march for hours, chanting, waving a sign, gets monotonous.

Really hope our government, and many others, are paying attention. We don't need that here. We already know there are many people just itching for a reason to go out rioting and looting in America. And while the police and National Guard are busy dealing with that, sort of leaves open for other sorts of troubles. A lot of the news outlets, only report on Paris, but it's pretty much the whole country protesting. If anything, it should show that carbon fuel taxing isn't the way to go, for cutting back on the use. Most people are already getting squeezed pretty hard with taxes, don't have the savings or budget to afford a new 'green' machine. Raising the cost of diesel fuel is going to cost us a whole lot at the grocery store, and food is essential for survival. Winter is a bad time to talk about raise fuel prices. Heating your home, isn't always about comfort, up in those 'yankee' states, though I'd expect most homeowners have the wood-burning option, since electricity goes out, and fuel deliveries might not get through.

In US terms, they pay over $7 for a gallon of gas while we pay $2.29. Even when gas here has exceeded $4 or $5 a gallon there weren't any problems. Ergo, if the price of our gas doubled it wouldn't change things much.
Do you know that in the US that when unions first formed and workers went on strike that companies would hire strike breakers. It seems you know more about France than the US. Pouquoi? Je veux savoir s'il vous plait.

В России, всё хорошо. Мы имеем Путин. Как о тебя? Кто ты имеешь?

I said, In Russia all is good. We have Putin. Who do you have?
I'd say I'm an American but that requires 2 English speaking parents from the US. I guess when that's all people have.
Besides you wouldn't like me harvey, I read a lot and am the son of a socialist. It is funny, Americans are against universal health care but can support a pedophile.

Almost forgot. Trump also let the Russians know about secret ops that Israel was carrying out in Syria in opposition of Assad. Since he's President he can declassify secret information. Why it was legal for him to aid Russia.

Strike breakers were thugs, hire to intimidate, injure the union workers. They also hired non-union labor. Probably would have been cheaper to give a raise, consider the cost of thugs, unskilled labor, lost business, damages...

Pedophile? Cheap insult, childish, unless you've got some proof there is more than a single incident. Are all pagent employees pedophiles as well? Lots of men working backstage, some probably are actually perverts, but none ran for president, or wealthy, so guess they aren't as bad as Trump... Grow up, take your meds.

Trump said he was the only man backstage because he owned the pageant. Why are you disagreeing with what Donald Trump said? Did you read his comments about their bodies?
Yet you're defending him saying he wasn't the only one when he said he was.
The Boston Tea Party was over tax. They say that the tax was actually reasonable. The issue was control. You're seriously twisting what's going on in France. You haven't shown how much they're taxed on fuel. As you said, you don't spend your leisure time reading. It shows.

This thread wasn't started, to focus on Trump, and dirty politics of socialist. It's actually about people starting to fight against 'Climate Change', and not in the way the socialist want. Guess, going off topic is your defense mechanism to deal with a losing battle. One of the strongest supporting nations, of ClimateGate, is under siege, and starting to fold. It's not just about the carbon tax, or 'Climate Change', it's getting down to whether or not the French government can continue to support the socialist agenda, or will have to abandon 'Climate Change', the will of the people. If France fails to continue to be involved in the 'Climate Change' crusade, most everyone else, will soon follow. It's a very expensive proposal, with very little to see as physical proof, just a lot of talk, and fancy graphs. It's just too far off in the future, the change, even the rate of change, being marketed, is very small. Talking about it, listening to the sales pitch, is one thing, but making radical changes, and a huge financial impact isn't attractive. If you work hard for your paycheck, it's not easy to hand over what's left, after living expenses, to support something that ain't going to happen, least not in our children's lifetime.

Germany will probably be next to join the protests, when they start to mess with peoples energy use and paychecks, in a similar fashion. You work hard for something, you want to hang onto as much of it as you can. The people doing the hard work, don't have a lot of money to spare, for such lofty goals. The rich, upper class folks, figure they can get through just fine, only a minor inconvenience.

There are a lot more people on a tight budget, spend a lot of time trying to stretch that paycheck to make sure they keep the roof over their heads, food on the table, and meet their obligations, like credit, and taxes. Food and shelter, are two things that are much higher priority, over credit and taxes, since you can usually get more time to pay taxes, or a creditor. You can't go long without eating, and still be able to earn an income. You need shelter, or eventually your health will fail as well.

Anyway, have you not noticed, how you ignore the main issues, and go off topic, to avoid them? I don't dwell on stuff, like Trump's bad behavior, since I don't know the man, any of the accusers, and really not much I can say or do, to effect any of it. Obviously, it wasn't a big deal to any of the 'victims', since none of them came forward on their own, they had to be track down, and convinced to share, likely, compensated. You've never read back through, and noticed that you're the one who takes the thread off on a wild, insignificant tangent?

They're not fighting against climate change harvey. They elected Macron because they like his ideas. He won on the platform of fighting climate change. You don't read so you don't know that.
What they want is for him to fight climate change without new taxes.
You like Trump's ideas, right? One of them was buying the pageant so he could see naked girls. His words. As owner he could get away with it. Live with that harvey just like he's cheated on his wife.
And harvey, that could be why he had to sell the Miss USA Pageant, inappropriate behavior.

I did read about his campaign leading up to the election.
France might think a little differently than Americans. In France they have https://www.iter.org which is a multinational effort to produce clean energy from heavy water which is better known as tritium. They use a toroidal magnetic field to trap tritium then a laser can strip away it's husk.
This releases energy. It's supposed to be the same process the Sun uses. If they get it working there is a lake I think in Austria that has a 10,000 year supply of tritium. That'd be a lot of clean energy for Europe.
It could be the French were thinking along those lines and not having taxes raised as a deterrent when their fuel is already much more expensive than ours. What can I say? I do read a lot

Wake, don't forget, I think I can make coal fired power plants cleaner, more efficient and more economical. Not what Trump wants. That's because it would be considered socialism. You know, as an environmentalist I should be against that but new plants are scheduled to be built so would be looking at what's best for everyone. See, it is socialism

Kind of reminds me when the WTO met in Seattle during the holidays. Nothing like the scene of tear gas drifting among the Christmas lights downtown to enliven the spirit of the holiday!

3) Yes, they are often in skimpy (or less) clothing while they are changing. So are most performers in a Cirque show.
4) Seeing attractive skimpily clad young people is not sex. James and people like him imagining it to be sex are the real perverts.

France is indeed a front in the 'climate war' that is becoming rather hot. People have had enough. Riots happen for only a few reasons:
1) people are following a religious cause
2) people are unable to support themselves.

The second is the most dangerous for a sitting government. Religious causes can turn into deadly wars, but only if the religious cause conflicts with another.

Here you might say that both factors are present in France. The French government is being seriously stupid.

Possibly, but Germany actually tends to be a bit more conservative in their actions against a government than France is. They ARE facing the same problems, however. It's the same problems all over Europe. I suspect the next outbreak will be someplace more like Italy. Just a guess.

You are probably beginning to notice that those who are members of the Church of Global Warming also tend to be members of the Church of Green. They both stem from the same Church of Karl Marx. Everyone from the Church of Karl Marx must denigrate Trump any they can, for he stands against what they are and is very effective in combating it.

I know your tiny little socialist brain can't understand this, but here goes. CHEAP ENERGY IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF A THRIVING ECONOMY! I know, Trump sucks because we have cheap energy and the economy is booming. Things will only get better when he's finished choking China. Sad day for America haters. Is that you James?

Hey James, we need to build a wall to keep them out, not to trap them in. (You can trap people by the way, but not heat) Free market capitalism has done more good and spread more wealth around the world than any other system could dream of. If you hate it so much then I wish you well and please be on your way. Plenty good men and women who have given everything to come here and lost everything, and still not gotten in. Actually they do. They have to get ready for the next part of the pageant and that requires a change of clothing.
CNN isn't the one who mentioned it. It was Trump himself on the Howard Stern Show yet you guys keep saying that Stern's recorder didn't record it. Can't deal with reality, can you?

p.s., Trump in reased the number of migrant workers that can enter the US. He said it was necessary because Americans won't work for what he pays. That's why he's rich.
This is what Trump is projecting for the budget deficit next year and with you guys it won't matter. Supporting poor economic policy makes you better people. Economic growth should come from the wealthy investing in American jobs. Then more money is in circulation. That isn't debt but is an investment. People don't know the difference.

with President Donald Trump's administration now estimating that the total figure will top $1 trillion in 2019,

I like Germany the best, the government there seems to be following the dictates of the Climatologists. Maybe more aware of how their people will respond to raising taxes, but how else will you get people away from petroleum, quickly, only got about 10 years to cut use in half, another 10 years to cut off the pumps entirely. If they don't make it too expensive to use, they would have to provide a much cheaper and easier alternative, that won't cost the average citizen much to switch over to. There isn't a cheaper alternative energy source, 'Green' alternatives are expensive, and less efficient. Electric vehicles, still need to be charged. Most places don't generate a huge surplus, some barely keep up with peak demand. Takes only a few minutes to fill your gas tank, drive all week. Electric vehicles take hours to charge, and your aren't going near as far, before needing to recharge. You can get gas on most any street corner in a city. Really doubt, that 10 years enough, to provide a much cheaper, efficient, and convenient alternative. Italy seems to follow it's friends and neighbors, they wait and see how things turn out, before taking the leap. Learn from the mistakes of others, avoids a lot of cost, and embarrassment.

The IPCC just haven't put enough meat on the bones, just a lot of talk and agreement, on what might happen, and how it could happen. They really have nothing solid to base any of it on. Everything in the past, tends to show that it'll be just fine, regardless of what we do, or don't do. The 'cure' is to aggressive, not to cause a lot of problems, which most people just can't afford. It's not just about losing a few conveniences, it's a threat to their lives, and that's a definite, no maybe, no could happen. Food and shelter costs money, a job will only pay so much. A business that has to spend more than it takes in, doesn't stay in business long, and doesn't employ people needing a paycheck. If the price of diesel doubled, I wouldn't have a job very long. Those few times when gas got up to $4.00/gallon, we had layoffs. Never happened before then, and I'd been there over 20 years back then. With Trump, we've been hiring like crazy, still hiring, if you need a job. Of course, we are opening a second warehouse in Florida next year...

Federal revenues only increased by 1 percent this year,

held down by a big drop in corporate payments thanks to Trump tax cuts. Meanwhile, the bumper spending bill that allowed expanded military and domestic programs increased the cash flowing out of American coffers by 4.4 percent.

Only a liberal could or would make this sound bad.

Funny they are bitching about 700 billion deficits. Obama ran 5 trillion in deficits his first 4 years...but no such story like this one. Talk about fake news! Talk about Fake News. I guess if Trump didn't have any balls neither would you. That's all you guys have, isn't it? That's sad

Why don't you go back trying to pedal your fake scientific theories instead showing 100 times the ignorance talking about Trump. You know not the slightest thing about him but like your stupid theories that won't stop you from talking like the freak show you are. What did you say when Bill Clinton raped Paula Jones and after she took it to the police Hillary threatened to kill her if she didn't go away? Lyndon Johnson in all likelihood was behind the Kennedy assassination with the assassin being assassinated to break the chain of payoffs. Obama was never born in the US or any of its territories and so he was never a legal President and now that they have the proof they should bury him at the bottom of a Federal Prison.

FROM THE NEWSWEEK STORY YOU POSTED...

I hate deficit spending too, but at least we are getting national defense out of it. I think Rocket Man was actually a legitimate threat with the Man Child in office.

As you said, you're only intelligent enough to go by how something sounds. You also know that when W pushed Fanny Mae, etc. to loosen credit to stimulate the economy that it caused a recession that was good for your business. And once again you see a Republicans president being fast and loose with money. You know you'll be busy once bills have to be paid just like last time.

Don't be such a dumbass James. Franklin Raines was at the helm of Fannie Mae when he launched their 3 trillion dollar project to help "underprivileged" people into home ownership. It was a move toward socialism. See what it gets?

Believe me I've seen thousands of foreclosures and with the vast majority, it is obvious these people had no business owning a home. They were given 125% of value loans and 1/2 the time the values were highly inflated by the independent appraiser that was "hired" by the bank....in other words, the lender was telling the appraiser what the value was...if the number came back too low the appraiser would not work for that bank again. Lot of dirty shit, plus Raines thinking that home ownership is for everyone. Raines split Fannie Mae before they were investigated. I'm not a huge fan of W, but it's pretty thin to stick the housing crash on him.

Why is it when ever something Republicans do doesn't work it becomes socialism? That could be just you. You like Republicans but don't want to have to say that their failed policies are good for your business.

I am not a republican. I'm a conservative that leans libertarian. The republican party is the only party with a chance at holding up the principals I believe in.

I don't care what party does it, I will disagree loudly with any policy that takes from one group and gives unearned handouts to another.

Still no comment on Hilary?

It's actually quite different wake. I like Melania. There, I've said it! Are you happy now? I think that if a guy marries a woman that he thinks is special then it should be about her. With Trump it all seems to come back to him. This interview of Melania quotes her as saying she's a mother and a First Lady. She doesn't say she's a wife.

And these comments of hers are after President Trump criticized LeBron James. She'd be willing to visit his I Promise school that he started in Akron. No Trump involved.

Maybe you guys just have no respect for women? Could be why you like Trump. He's the man you wish you could be.

I think it the product of having to mothers, and a test-tube dad. Seems like he sources most of the garbage, from tabloids, or is that what socialist call newspapers. Mostly, seems like defense mechanism, goes way off topic, on threads that are showing him the truth, that's real hard to deny.

I keep see in the news stories about these protest, something about 'Paid' protesters, or 'Professional' protesters. Got curious, and did a search, and it's true, least in California. Unfortunately, I could find anything about job opportunities, how much they pay. I don't they they were selling rioters or looters either, but got the feeling if you had the cash, the'd find the staff for your event, very accomodating. I'm mostly curious, not look for a career change, but might be a fun way to pick up a few bucks, after retirement. Pretty sure they don't do the violent type of protests., too much liability, if they got caught, and doubt the protesters get paid well enough to not talk, if charged with a serious crime.

This video shows that the temperatures over the last 40 years when we supposedly had a 1 degree average temperature increase in directly in the middle of recorded temperature highs and lows. In other words - there has been NO CHANGES.

Yes, I know the video shows that. However, it is not possible to measure the temperature of the Earth. This video is making the same argument from randU fallacy the Church of Global Warming makes.

There probably have been no changes, since the Sun has not had any significant changes, but there is no way to measure the temperature.
