I think microwaves are cooking from the top down, or from the outside to the inside. That is, unless they are installing the microwave device inside the food, and cooking from there (I don't think this is happening, but maybe there is some kind of interesting phenomenon where microwaves wind up penetrating food very deeply before they impact the surface as much).

Then a couple weeks ago, I got the flu, and only lost some sense of smell, but didn't completely lose it. This shows some kind of increasing immunity don't you think?

A cat is in a box with a radioactive atom, having a 50% chance of decaying in an hour. If the atom doesn't decay, the cat lives, and if it decays, it triggers poison to kill the cat. So there is a 50/50 chance the cat lives or dies. It is both alive and dead based on this probability.

I don't like this thought experiment, because in reality, whether the atom decays or not is set in stone.
