One thing he did was actually BAN a brand new member who was posting links in a for-profit scam. But he only looked at the site at all because a member had pestered him about a bunch of personal information that another member had posted. He dutifully deleted those posts with a map to the member's home, his full name, names of his sons, mother, nephews, his phone number (was it really T-Mobile?), e mail address, former place of employment. But, it turns out that the member actually doxed HIMSELF. Using long-distance mind control... or maybe he just hacked into IBdaMann's account. In any case, IBdaMann is NOT responsible for doxing anyone, ever. If IBdaMann posts the phone number AGAIN, it will not be HIS fault. And he has a highly credible witness to support his claim that the other member doxed HIMSELF. The two tenured trolls have racked up more than 36,000 posts between them. That is more than one third of all the posts that have ever been on this website. As a direct consequence of all that trolling, the two of them represent about a third of the total active members who remain at the site. Out of more than 1700 who joined. Now, two years later, Branner is even LESS responsive to requests that he do something, ANYTHING, as "moderator" of this website. I guess I could ask him, AGAIN, to remove the more recent post with the address of the house I lived in more than 20 years ago. If trafn were still alive, he would be allowed to post. When a member actually gets BANNED (it really happened here a long time ago) all their posts get deleted. Into the Night posted his first essay for discussion (one of the very few times he attempted to argue an original point of his own affirmatively) and it got nothing but CRICKETS... other than trafn. trafn gave a friendly and welcoming reply, affirming a few points of actual value in what Into the Night posted. It took a while for the other trolls to really warm up to ITN's unique style of "debate". I think I figured out the source of the "white liquor" chemistry confusion. Into the Night is a "chemist", but the place he works that he calls a "mill" is what others call a "distillery". As there is no wood pulp involved, Into the Night is correct that the "white liquor" where he works does NOT contain sodium hydroxide, NaOH, or sodium sulfide, Na2S. He's not a liar or fake "chemist". He works where the "white liquor" is white liquor, 90 proof. The alcohol he works with is not the aromatic alcohol polymer known as lignin, it is the aliphatic alcohol known as ethanol.
