The codes are change regularly. The President can only use them to request a launch, still some bureaucracy to verify. Was these from his Vice President years, or the past two years. Since no one else can authorize the use of nukes, no one needs any codes. Nuclear codes are orders and are not to be confused with keys needed to initiate a launch and the two-person integrity required to employ them.  |
