Every thread on the home page is racking up dozens or even hundreds of "views" every day. While I find it difficult to believe it is real, I note that it is not indiscriminate. During the same 16 hour period when one of my threads got about 100 new views, another one got closer to 250. Right now it tells me, to the left, that there are 14 "Guests online", and 1 "Users online" (myself). I believe this is accurate. Other times it will tell me there are more than two hundred "Guests online". I do not believe this is accurate, in part because no additional "views" racked up when it happened. Potentially, something now games the system so that "views" rack up along with phantom "Guests online". On the other hand, maybe there are a whole lot more people viewing climate-debate.com I love the thought that people actually look up biogeochemistry related threads. But then I am utterly baffled why THIS thread has gotten more than 1000 views in the last 15 days. |
