carrying on from the philosophical aspect, can we try and use Climate Change as a platform to enhance our co-operation in other fields?

Can Climate Change be the booster drug that the weak UNITED NATIONS needs to bring dialogue and negotiation to a never-before-seen level?

what can Climate Change generally do for International Co-operation? Can I rotate my other points of debate around this excuse of making friends and get other vital things done?

Can Climate Change increase scientific curiosity? can it bring a scientific revolution much needed as a spillover?

Definitely. I hadn't really much interest in the topic, and believed only what they showed in the news or reported in the newspaper. Until someone suggested otherwise.

I was curious, and i know blogs and articles are usually one-sided, so thats how i found this forum. I needed to hear opinions from both sides.

Climate change is an obvious scam, a lie. You can really bring people together, if they can't trust. If you are lying about the 'weather', you will probably lie about everything else...

I don't see any uniting of nations using "Climate Change" as the catalyst. Underdeveloped nations are claiming the developed nations caused the problem and made its fortune and now it's their turn. Climate change is a socialist scam to eliminate or redistribute wealth.

We have a better chance of unifying the world using the guise of alien attack.

Illegal aliens are already attacking our borders, as well as several other countries. They aren't using guns (usually), but they do bring with them economic burdens, and disease (Corvid-19, most recently, which Trump predicted in 2016). I fault the socialist/democrats, for all the 'free stuff', including some of the best health care on the planet.

The key component to climate change, is CO2, from burning fossil fuels, our main source of energy. CO2 is a trace gas, only makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere. I've never grasped, how a trace gas, or anything else, could could 'create' enough thermal energy to warm such huge planet, in such a small quantity. All the vegetation on the planet, consume a good deal of CO2. Plants are consumed as food, and used for many other purposes, by all the increasing populations, of all living things. Destroying our most useful energy industry, isn't going to fix, a non-existing problem. Of course, the lie kept growing, it's not just CO2, is a lot of other gases, which CO2, 'forces' to warm the planet as well. Many excuses, and explanations, as why we need to destroy the energy industry, and rebuild it, with unreliable, inefficient sources, like solar panels and windmills. All very expensive, and less productive. Less energy, also means less, and more expensive manufacturing. Higher demand for basic items needed, and a greatly reduced supply drive up prices on everything. To survive, most people will depend on the generosity of the 'government', likely to agree to most anything, if thrown 'free stuff' in exchange for compliance.

Those questions are all meaningless to me, as the bolded terms that the questions are based on are undefined.

Define "climate change".

Definitely.

I'd consider giving this response another thought. Note the word that I bolded above. It is an undefined word with no quantitative value. Science has no theories about the undefined and the unquantifiable.

Nobi wrote:

I myself used to have very little interest in the topic beyond knowing that people were attempting to dupe me into believing nonsense. I didn't know the science behind how these people were trying to dupe me. Now I have a better understanding of that science.

I'd reconsider this action as well. Healthy skepticism is a good thing! Never believe someone or something simply because they are considered to be "qualified" or "an expert" or "an authority". It sounds like you're largely "going with the flow" of the "experts" instead of thinking for yourself and forming your own arguments. Thankfully, the latter is something which CAN be learned over time!

Thankfully, there is no need for blogs and articles to support the notion that Greenhouse Effect is a bunch of garbage. All that is needed is the theories of science themselves. With regard to the theory of Greenhouse Effect, the laws of thermodynamics and the stefan-boltzmann law (and their respective equations) commonly get brought up. See, Greenhouse Effect loves to violate those laws...

Well, you'll definitely hear from "both sides" here!

I don't see any uniting of nations: 3rd Horseman AKA HORSEY

....a threat to the entire planet is a threat to the entire planet.

But aliens we could see and be mauled by would be more compelling than charts.
