There is no 'normal', and there isn't a global climate, since no one can observe the entire planet. One person's 'feelings' doesn't reflect those of everyone else, except maybe in a dictatorship government country, where disagreement is short lived. No some people don't respect other people's opinions, and will go to great lengths to convince everyone else, that they are right (well, usually far 'left'), every who disagrees are wrong.

That theory just hasn't been falsified as of yet...
