I'm sure the dollars, are just to get the ball rolling, uphill. Joe Biden only wants to start off spending $1.7 trillion, guess he's holding back, maybe thinks he can pickup some of the 'denier' votes, people who aren't convinced that there is a problem, but don't want their socialist friends to think they don't care.

Bernie Sanders, wants to spend $16.3 trillion, but wants to pay for to help 'developing' countries to go 'green'. Doubt they produce much CO2, so a couple billion would probably be wasted on other things.

The rest fell some where in between, but none of them really had any plans on how to raise all that money, just ways to spend.

Learned a new Climate Change phrase, have to look into further, but doubt it's going to make any more sense, than the rest of the catchy-phrases they use. Cory Booker wants to spend some of his trillions on 'Climate Discrimination'. Minorities are unfairly being left out... Would being left out of being taxed into poverty be a good thing? The article didn't give much detail on what it means, or what needs to be fixed.

Some how, I get the feeling that the popular ones, the qualify for the TV debates, are the most likely to lose the nomination this time. Joe Biden isn't going make it. He can't always rely on a script, which he gets confused, just reading. I haven't watch the debates, but regardless of the news source, none of the people on the stage, really stands out much, they all want to spend a lot of money, no real plan on how to pay for it. Taxing the wealthy, is a tired joke, since it's the wealthy that pay their campaign bills, and other favors, and expect something better, like a piece of the action, if they get elected. Promising to spend a huge stack of cash, and raising taxes, is really something that appeals to anybody. Should be talking about saving the country money, and lowering taxes, to get elected, then pull an Obama...

Not just a couple $billion. A few $trillion. That's what the $16.3 trillion figure is for ... to ensure several $trillion are wasted on "other things." I hope you realize that small or poor countries have annual budgets in the $billions to $millions range. Maybe Bernie is looking to buy himself a country or two for when his term is up.

Leftists believe in equal opportunity oppression.

To you point, these are Cory's official words on the matter:

And in the wake of decades of remarkable industrial growth, low-income communities, indigenous communities, rural communities, and communities of color bear the disproportionate burden of environmental neglect, pollution, and exploitation.

As we set out to tackle the existential challenge of climate change, we must ensure that all people and all communities, especially the ones that have been traditionally left behindurban and rural, communities of color, low-income, and indigenousshare in our progress. Acting together, we can and must find our common purpose, and build a sustainable and equitable future for all.

Clearly designed to win any game of Buzzword-BINGO.

Does that mean that he want to build solar and wind farms on their land, so they can feel like part of the solution? Of course, I'm sure he full plans on generously compensating them, for letting him use some (well, most) of their land, sort of an annual lease, maybe some 'free-energy' to sweeten the deal.

As long as he gets to take a selfie, that's exactly what it means.

By the way, that is Cory Booker's official image shtick, i.e. the "selfie" candidate. Notice that he doesn't want the selfie, he wants the photo of him taking a selfie, to show that he is "engaged" with the people.

Looks like he enjoys 'engaging' with people, particularly young people under voting age, like Joe Biden. Got a hunch, much like with Biden, PhotoShop isn't his friend, almost begging for it.

Use to be that 'selfie' were sort of pathetic, something done by people of weak social skills, and little trust. There were some occasions, where there was little choice, sort of a last resort. Can't always use the self timer function, or a tripod. I can sort of understand people not trusting a stranger, with their $600 phone, which contains all their person information, financial access. But Booker should be able to have a staff member taking fan photos. Think Booker just uses it, as means to get his hands on people, and he doesn't have to be sneaky about it.
