3H+ + Al(OH)3 = Al3+ + 3H2O

3 HCl + Al(OH)3 = AlCl3 + 3 H2O

Three stomach acid protons (hydrogen ions) get neutralized, creating water and trivalent aluminum ion.

If BASE is added to Al3+, it can be neutralized the other way.

3 NaOH + AlCl3 = 3 NaCl + Al(OH)3
