Alarmists point to Gore's chart and say high CO2 causes high temperature, low CO2 causes low temperature. One simple question suffices to defeat their argument. Let's say high CO2 causes low temperature to become high temperature. Then what? Why would high temperature then become low temperature? The answer must be the Sun.

As long as the 1st Law of Thermodynamics is in effect, no atmospheric gas can create heat.

As long as temperature is the driver for thermal radiation, no atmospheric gas can modify temperature by regulating thermal radiation.
