I thought the seal population was doing fine, since the banned seal-clubbing, for pelts. Though, the polar bear populations have been skyrocketing, maybe they over-grazed. Saw a climate change commercial on TV, with starving polar bears, scrounging around a landfill. Think seals are a favorite food of Killer Whales too. Sea World Orlando stopped doing whale shows a while back, after some PETA propaganda flick about that trainer who got eaten during one of their shows. Heard the planned to release the whales into the wild, some where near Norway. Sort of ironic, PETA saving the seals. Then. by saving polar bears, and Killer Whales, they decimate the seal population. Had nothing to do with global warming, which was suppose to have killed off all the polar bears 15 years ago... |
