So I'm signing into my Windows account and the geography trivia question of the day pops up:"This delightful locale is a favorite of tourists, being kept warm by the jet stream."

I knew the answer immediately: "somewhere in Norway!"

I don't know if the Norwegian jet stream is in any danger from Climate Change but it certainly is everything James__ says it is, i.e. a force for good against evil.

This is the specific answer to the trivia test:

Sommarøy in Tromsø, Norway
Welcome to Sommarøy, a part of the sprawling municipality of Tromsø, Norway's largest city in the Arctic. Sommarøy is about 22 miles west of Tromsø proper, and only a few hundred people live in the village year round. But in warmer months, the area's islands attract many visitors who are drawn to their natural beauty and quaint, traditional fishing villages. The Gulf Stream keeps the climate warmer than most other places at this latitude, and summer brings an influx of tourists. But come winter there's no escaping the fact that we're more than 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

If this isn't motivation enough to want to save the planet, I don't know what is. I say we declare Norway as the true "ground zero" for the global climate and ask James__ what we can all do to pitch in for the effort.

Who knew? Sommarøy in Tromsø, Norway might very well be earth's last bastion for hope. Who else will drive the jet stream if Sommarøy falls to Global Warming?

This is where I lived as a kid. Your typical American city

Might head to Australia myself. As a disabled Veteran I might have a better life there. I saw on the internet that the best thing about dating an Australian woman is their Australian accent. With my hearing loss, it'd be easier for me to understand them.

It's interesting in a way but I think Americans are jealous. Most haven't gone anywhere or done anything in life. They can't venture out into the world.

Something that might be of interest. It's the Aurora Borealis Observatory Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1792618197423232

IBDM, how Australians mow the yard. Change can be good. Beats the heck out of repeating the same mistake of trying to work with people (socialism) when exploitation (capitalism) is better. By that definition China is a capitalist country because its government exploits its people.
The link is for if the jpeg doesn't attach.

Golf is a particularly capitalist game. Kangaroos are socialists and have no business being on the back nine.

Climate Change is not good when it means that kangaroos have caddies.

That's where you're wrong. It's nice that roos are willing to let a human caddy for them. It shows they are equal opportunists

meanwhile in Florida......they have water hazards
