Stephen Schneider is the lead author of the IPCC reports.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Schneider

Greek philosophers would classify him among cynics.

For current believers in the climate theory of CO2, he must be considered a pragmatic hero, but for objective science he turns out to be a cynical traitor.

Stephen Schneider made an amazing publication called "Each of us has to decide what is the right balance between being effective and being honest."

https://climatesight.org/2009/04/12/the-schneider-quote/

"On the one hand, as scientists we are ethically bound to the scientific method, in effect promising to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but - which means that we must include all doubts, the caveats, the ifs, ands and buts . On the other hand, we are not just scientists but human beings as well. And like most people we'd like to see the world a better place, which in this context translates into our working to reduce the risk of potentially disastrous climate change. To do that we need to get some broad based support, to capture the public's imagination. That, of course, means getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. "

Some of us might know him as the father of climate alarmism.

There are three kinds of climate change: that generated by natural factors; that generated by man; and that generated by economic interests.

There were some leaked Emails a few years ago, loaded with similar sentiments, basically, how to convince the morons... There was some very clear discussion about data manipulation, and fraud. No investigation, other than how the emails were leaked. Never really denied, just shrugged off, not as important as the 'crisis'.

It's really surprising they don't have a branded line of merchandise, and asking for donations. They could be making billions of dollars, beyond the government funding they already get.

Translation: "We need to eat, so we lie to get grants and to get jobs in politics. We might not appreciate all the dishonesty but we sure enjoy the benefits!"
