You are describing yourself again, Robert.

Maybe it is time to bump up IBdaMann's "Definition of a Troll" thread.

His definition is very different than the definition for Internet troll on Google.

And in today's news I read that Donald Trump is being compared to one.

Marjorie Taylor Greene said, "At this point, he's no different than an internet troll or one of the millions of bots that say awful horrible things."

Maybe the unambiguous definition of "troll" needs to be revisited.

And what about just trolling the trolls?

Yes, I CAN! I can blame my problems on anything I want to blame them on.

What I truly CANNOT do is stop you from fouling this website with your ugly trolling and absurd, anti scientific assertions.

So, dredging up IBdaMann's "Definition of a Troll" thread...

This morning, I learned the term "sealioning", for the first time, as a term that describes a particular style of internet trolling.

Since I control Google and tell it to deny science, I'll make it give me a really cool answer for this one. Then, anyone else can try the same inquiry and discover that I really DO control Google and I can make it LIE all the time.

Google inquiry:"What is the definition of 'sealioning', as a style of internet trolling?"

I have programmed Google to lie for me, and Google says: "Sealioning is a bad-faith trolling tactic where someone pesters an opponent with relentless, polite requests for evidence or justification while feigning total sincerity and ignorance.

As a form of harassment, it often involves pursuing individuals with persistent, tangential, or repetitive demands for evidence while acting entirely reasonable."

Feigning total sincerity and ignorance, they pretend that they have no idea what the term "climate change" refers to (or even "fossil fuel"!). They pretend that it will be impossible to take the discussion any further while the great mystery remains about what these common terms could possibly mean. Not just any definition will suffice. That definition must not cause any imagined violations of an ignorant laymen's poor interpretation of the laws of thermodynamics. Nobody ever passes the test!

But they switch pretty quickly from polite "sealioning" to personal insults and false accusations. Sharks in sealion's clothing!

I notice that by the time Patricio joined a couple of months ago, the "sealioning" phase of the trolling was quite abbreviated before they charged in with the kind of ugly shit that drove every other new member in the last four years before Patricio away from this website. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!

Maybe the problem is that all those briefly-active new members were really just my "socks".

You need proof?

We both converged on the same definitions for the same basic terms used in chemistry, such as "pH buffering". It has to be a conspiracy! I mean, there is no way an educated person could simply LOOK UP a basic definition in chemistry, right? There is no way two people would independently find the same chemistry definitions, right? There is no credible source of chemistry information that anyone could cite. There is no standard format used in basic chemistry courses to teach definitions for something like "pH buffering", right?

If two students get the same answer on an exam, does that mean they CHEATED? Or does it just prove they both actually STUDIED chemistry from the same textbook?

I can't get my "sock" Patricio to come back, so I'll just use my GOOGLE "sock" to LIE that dilution isn't really pH buffering, or that climate actually CAN change, and carbonate IS a chemical... and there really IS such a thing as my profession in biogeochemistry.

Right now, my favorite LIE to feed my Google "sock" is to SLANDER IBdaMann with the false accusation that anyone characterizes him as a troll.

Insisting on committing a fallacy does not make the fallacy go away, Robert. You cannot blame your problems on someone else.

Climate cannot change.
Fossils aren't used as fuel.
There is no 'interpretation' of thermodynamics. I have already given you the equations. You just choose to ignore them.
There is no test. You just want to discard many theories of science, mathematics, logic, and the English language.

Word games won't help you.

Carbonate is not a chemical.
There is no such thing as biogeochemistry.

Apparently, this is an example of how I doxed myself.

Into the Night has admonished me to be aware that I can be sued for libel or slander, and the service provider will not protect me.

IBdaMann cannot be accused of doxing me, right?

In this case, he can only be accused of attempted doxing.

The Oakland address and house in the picture are, indeed, where I lived more than 20 years ago. But I don't know who he actually doxed, or who the lexus and bike belong to.

I figured that IBdaMann was equally incompetent in his attempted doxing of Tim the Plumber. But IBdaMann came back yesterday to point out details in the photo he posted that prove it likely was, indeed, Tim the Plumber's home and vehicle that IBdaMann doxed.

Wrong wording. You INSISTED on publishing your own personal information.

An image search on your continuum graphic, as you demanded, reveals your name, Robert R. Northup, which you can see on the image. (Time: 14 seconds)

An internet search on "Robert R Northup Biogeochemist" basically reveals that you live in Oakland. (Time: 17 seconds)

An internet search on "Robert R Northup Oakland address" lists 4551 Fairbairn Ave, Oakland, CA without having to even click on any links. (Time: 6 seconds)

Google maps immediately comes up with THIS, indicating that you have a nice silver Lexus RX330, a Chevy 1500HD and a covered motorcycle. (Time: 5 seconds)

Anyway, anyone who is willing to spend a minute complying with your demands will learn at least this much about you.

Now I understand why you adamantly refuse to provide any definitions, i.e. you don't know what any words mean.
