WRONG: La Traviata was written in 1853, in the middle of the Little Ice Age. It was very cold throughout Europe, and Violetta Valérie wore low-cut dresses without a coat to provoke Alfredo. The correct answer is that Verdi knew the sexual appeal to the public of Violetta's breasts, and intentionally ignored climate change.
