It has become a rare event for a new member to join this website.

A few days ago, mikemumba joined.

For a couple of years now, almost the only "new" members have all been incarnations of the same New Messiah.

I believe mikemumba is a real person who decided not to post after joining.

Even during the Golden Age of climate-debate.com, most new members never posted anything. More than half of the 1734 "users" never put up their first post.

I wish mikemumba would respond to this, because I'm very curious how he managed to find this website.

Hey, mikemumba! It could be valuable feedback for this website if you are willing to say why you decided to join, but then chose not to post anything.

Someone I have loved for most of my life wrote to me about a black mamba once.

Memory lane... We were both Peace Corps volunteers at the time, in an era when it seemed like there still might be hope for the world.

I was in the Dominican Republic and she was in Central Africa. I got to play around in one of the few rainforests in the entire world where there are no venomous snakes of any kind. She wasn't so lucky.

I had a few close calls with rattle snakes in our home state of California. Damn near stepped on a couple before their rattle alerted me to back off. But, what was the worst that could happen? I might have to go to the ER and experience a lot of discomfort.

My beautiful friend sends me this letter about her Peace Corps work in Central Africa. Kind of like my rattle snake scares, but with much more serious potential repercussions. She nearly stepped on a black mamba.

We we crazy or what? Volunteering to miss out on the booming 1980s advances in the American standard of living to go where we could accidentally step on a snake and be dead. For $150 a month!

Wait! Are you saying life was great during this decade of Republican leadership?

Wow, you really stepped in a heap of shit this time!

Is life better with Obamas Fentanyl

IBdaMann claims that Gold is a molecule, and that the last ice age never happened because I was not there to see it. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that IBdaMann is clearly not using enough LSD.

According to CDC/Government info, people who were vaccinated are now DYING at a higher rate than non-vaccinated people, which exposes the covid vaccines as the poison that they are, this is now fully confirmed by the terrorist CDC

I suspect that mikemumba did not come back to this website to see this.

The 1980s started off slow, as far as US economic growth, etc., goes, but picked up a LOT in the second half of the decade. All under Republican presidents.

The 1990s were even BETTER in this way, with the US economy defying expectations to shoot to new heights. Far more impressive than the 1980s. Most of that decade under a Democrat president.

On the other hand, none of this translates to "life was great".

Trump's refusal to even acknowledge the recent COP conference, failing to send ANYONE from the administration there to represent our nation, reminded me of the first president Bush.

Was it 1993? That big conference in Rio. Bush was going to sit it out. He made some righteous claims about how the US is a "leader" on these things, not a "follower". Eventually he caved and at least paid lip service to the conference.

So, Guzzy, did you notice that there are a whole lot more "views" of the threads on the website these days?

Fewer members than ever are posting.

More viewers than ever are looking at it.

A LOT more viewers than ever.

---------------

I suspect that mikemumba may be Mike Mumba of the Eden Reforestation Project in Zambia.

If so, it makes perfect sense why he thought climate-debate.com might be a place worth posting on.

Just read the blue box at the bottom of the home page. "This site is a neutral meeting place where everyone is invited to have their say on one of the most important discussions of our time"

So, he joined up and then looked at some of the threads.

On the one hand, I'm tempted to e-mail Mike Mumba in Zambia to ask if it was him, just to test my hypothesis about who it was and why they didn't post.

On the other hand, if it WAS the same Mike Mumba, how could I tell him he should really try posting something here?

I know how the local residents respond to someone who works in reforestation and attempts to discuss it here.

Then again, maybe mikemumba got exactly what he needed already.

He may have been referred to this website by another scientist working in reforestation.

mikemumba may have decided there was no point posting anything, but was here looking up threads such as "Maximizing carbon sequestration in terrestrial agroecosystems". There, he could have found many citations for relevant papers about reforestation.

Maybe mikemumba will see this and tell us something.

Is a Bachelor of Science needed to buy Apple Computer stock?

Does Bill Gates have a Bachelor of Science? or is he a drop out?

There is no need for accreditation from a formal collegiate institution to assert a falsifiable scientific theory.

Heaven's Glass is my Bachelor in Science. It can be falsified by shooting a rocket to the Moon, supposedly...
