There is going to be a lot of these, and other crimes, usually found in the 'bad' parts of town. These are people all coming from a 'ghetto' culture. They can behave, when they need to, but will do what's 'cultural acceptable', when they feel comfortable about getting away with it. Of course Joe will do his best to hush the media on the crimes. Wouldn't look good for him, if we believe he's letting a crime wave into the country. I've notice for a while, that the media is quick with detail when the suspect is white, but takes a day or few, with 'immigrants', or one of the 'special' class. Of course, Joe will claim he was here illegally, as most of them are, since they haven't been fully processed, or had a court appearance. Joe just hands them a date to appear. Many won't bother, just need to get past the border. Cities where street signs are in both English, and Spanish, are in for a world of hurt. Those who already made it, will help those who just arrived, for a price. Usually profitable, since it takes time to learn American money, and what it's worth, cost of living. Those new to the country, are of course grateful for a place to stay, help not drawing attention, and them taking risks helping out. Day laborer are still in huge demand, and employers aren't picky. |
