As for the tasty salted snacks, these often seem quite effective at stimulating a productive bowel movement for me, that is, since I am on the track to curing heart failure. A few more BMs like that, and I may even be able to ride a bike again one day.

That said, trying to stimulate a BM with a healthy micro dose of salt if I wasn't on track to curing heart failure, may not be a good idea, as the resistance would not be overcome by the stimulation.
