Considering that CO2 is 0.04%of the atmosphere, what logarithmic effect would you believe is in play here?

The level of sensitivity to a doubling of CO2 is in dispute. That's for sure. The science is not at all settled.

There is no dispute in science. The amount of atmospheric CO2 has no effect on average temperature. None. Zero. To claim any such relationship is to assert a violation of physics.
How can you verify for yourself? Notice that the total amount of energy remains the same. Average temperature cannot change if total energy does not change.
