They had been predicting that particular date for decades, from what I understand. And now it was getting close.

I remember hearing jokes about it in '66 and '67 as the time, the end time, grew nearer.

But they were already giving themselves some wiggle, months ahead, as scholars debated the precise timing of the signs to ensure the most accurate calculation. Don't be too shocked if it is'nt EXACTLY on that day this year.

Almost every post I've seen by the new Messiah includes dire warning that little time remains before the world upending shift will end things as we know them.

This time it sounds like a pretty firm deadline.

I should check the Internet to see if it corresponds to any new apocalypse schedule published by the Jehovah's Witnesses. Bless their hearts.

"Abstinence education" in high schools didn't achieve stellar results for reducing teen pregnancy or transmission of STDs.

But it may have been targetting the wrong problem anyway.

We were trying to get those kids to abstain from producing semen during sexual intercourse.

We NEEDED to tell them straight up NO! NOT AT ALL!

No semen ejaculated by any method, PERIOD.

God doesn't want you to spill that seed ANYWHERE.

That's why he designed our bodies to destroy themselves in order to reproduce.
