Check out this video of James Hansen giving a 2014 climate change speech at Drake University starting at about 13:15 time mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnM0V5aEXyA He states that both Republican and Democratic White House administrations edit and change the speeches given by government employees to congress. He works for NASA and has had the scientific content of his speeches to congress altered by the White House. The United States is the leading world power today and, therefore, the captain of spaceship Earth. If it's leader is altering science presentations to congress based upon the reigning administration's biases, how can we hope to steer ourselves safely through the challenges of global warming? |
