Why worry about it in the first place? God says it's going to happen, so nothing can stop it anyway. He doesn't say which on of these attempts, will be the final one though. They will keep pushing harder, for us to take action quicker. When they think they have control, they'll stop hiding behind the bogus science, waste of time, energy, and resources. They'll push too hard, make outlandish claims, that defy any form of intelligence. They already stretch credibility quite a bit. They'll still have a lot of followers though, faith is a hard thing to break, as well as those that invested everything in this, nothing left to lose. I don't know about one religion, as most of the religions popular today, aren't into agreement among themselves. Christians have over 200 denominations to choose from, and all use the same bible. I don't know much about muslims, but most don't seem to be terrorists, or even into the concept. Some religions are political, and have a lot of wealth and power of their own, which they won't give up easy. The one I understand least, is atheism. No god, but they work hard to take away the beliefs of others. They are protected as a religion, but seem to get special privileges, like taking holidays away from kids, ruining family values, moral decay. Personally, religious or not, hammering in the 10 commandments provide kids with the basics of moral values, and kept many out of trouble. One global government? Not going to happen, most governments don't have a population that is 100% supportive of what they have, but wouldn't swap with a border country for anything. Each has their strengths and weak points, there is nothing that's going to appeal to everyone. Of course, cutting atmospheric CO2, screwing with energy availability, and poverty because of high taxes, prices of food, and just the basics to survive, will kill off a good portion of the hold outs. Guess there will be a global justice system as well. Severe punishment, or relieve their suffering and struggling to survive? |
