Think about it. Almost entire Siberia is uninhabited with huge amounts of fresh water locked in ice. When all that warms to medieval warm period level and all that fresh water melts and becomes available for consumption, Russia population would increase 4 fold to 600 million and Russia will become a super power.

Become a super power? Always thought they were... Maybe it's because I grew with cold war propaganda and James Bond flicks. Then again, I use think the British were a super power as well, obviously, just propaganda... Isn't the number of nuclear weapons, that define the super powers, and why 'Rocket-Man' of North Korea, and that Iranian dude so pressed to makes some for their countries?

It won't take long for 600 million people to pollute all that fresh water...
