Currents are pretty well set in their ways, Wake. They've been mapped out and used by sailors for many years. They may change position slightly from day to day, but they are still there in basically the same locations as always. Narragansett Bay fishing is still there and healthy, Wake, including commercial fishing. Nothing much has changed about it at all. The Gulf Stream has always been offshore. Define 'global warming'. If any thing, overfishing is the only problem. Fish populations move to where their food is, usually following plankton blooms, since that starts the food chain.
