6 ounces of GOLD by January 7. 6 by 7. 6,7... 6,7!

SIX, SEVEN! That can't be coincidence. Six, seven. Six, seven. Something hypnotic about it. No wonder the kids are all saying it. 6,7...

That must be part of the puzzle. But cash requests have varied from as high as $50M, to as little as $2K, plus a laptop and "5 star hotel". 2, 5... I don't know.

I have a gut feeling that SIX, SEVEN is one of the more important clues.

All those kids have been saying it, and I have yet to hear a grown up explain it.

But, as they say, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th.

Branner seems to be resting as well.

There are ONE HUNDRED New Messiah threads here, posted in just the last few weeks.

People have to scroll past a hundred of God's threads to open the threads about biogeochemistry.

But, according to the "views" count, it doesn't stop them from getting opened.

It does slow it down a lot, however, compared to when they get "bumped" up to the home page.

I'll wait until Branner eradicates God's newest 100 threads before I come back with another biogeochemistry spam attack.

There is no such thing as 'biogeochemistry'.

There was a time when IBdaMann would have been right there for you on this.

He would have agreed that "there is no such thing as 'biogeochemistry'" and could have exposed the whole "biogeochemistry" conspiracy begun nearly a century ago by some fake Russian "scientist".

GassyGuz and gfmfm might not have been able to support your "scientific" assertions, but at least they would have helped you insult me.

It looks like they all ditched you, ITN.

Well, your 23300 POSTS are all still here.

I heard that viewers have been logging on just to see your old posts.

A buzzword is not a conspiracy, Robert.

Ask Into the Night what his secret definition is for "pH", and all you get is RQAA.

Rather than admit that he has NO IDEA what pH actually IS, he'll just insist that it is NOT the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion chemical activity (molarity), expressed in an equation as pH = -log(H+). Nope. It is some kind of secret "ratio".

It would be way too much to ask that he write an entire sentence to explain what HE believes pH is. He just replies with "RQAA" and "You deny science".

In theory, it means that SOMEWHERE, buried among his 23,400 posts, is that post where he actually made the clear assertions about what pH IS. You have to go find it, because he will never "answer" that question again.

The guy is a dickhead pretending to understand science, TROLLING over every attempt at this website to have a rational discussion of science or climate. Still here after more than ten years. The other trolls have basically ditched him.

Im a BM wrote:
People who really ARE "chemists" know what "chemical activity" is.

So does GOOGLE!

Ask Google: "What is the difference between the 'concentration' of a chemical in solution, compared to its 'chemical activity'?"

GOOGLE knows the answer even if ITN does not.

Google says: "Concentration is the measured amount of a substance (solute) in a solution while activity is its effective concentration. ..In dilute, ideal solutions, concentration and activity are nearly equal, but in concentrated or ionic solutions, activity (calculated by multiplying concentration by an activity coefficient) becomes significantly lower due to ions interacting with each other and the solvent, making it a more accurate measure for thermodynamic calculations like equilibrium constants."

Once again, Into the Night PROVES that he is NOT a CHEMIST!

Well, we know that pH is the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion molarity.

Nope. Try again.
Im a BM wrote:
But there is a caveat on "molarity". Chemical ACTIVITY is not always the same as concentration.

Chemical activity? You think some chemicals just laze too much on the couch and watch TV?
Im a BM wrote:
pH is the negative log of hydrogen ion CHEMICAL ACTIVITY. In most cases the activity coefficient is 1, so this is also the same value as hydrogen ion CONCENTRATION, moles per liter.

Go learn what pH means.
Im a BM wrote:
pH is a master variable that influences or reflects many parameters.

pH is not a variable.
Im a BM wrote:
pH is controls the chemical activity of dissolved metals, for example.

pH does not control anything.
Im a BM wrote:
It is possible to predict equilibrium chemical activity of aluminum, for example, by knowing the pH.

There's that 'chemical activity' again. Maybe you think acid is a health club.
Im a BM wrote:
For an inorganic salt such as aluminum chloride, this means you can predict its concentration knowing only pH.

pH is not a measure of concentration.
Im a BM wrote:
When aluminum ions get complexed by organic ligands, it reduces their chemical activity. Each aluminum ion has less chemical activity than before.

So this makes aluminum watch too much TV again, right?
Im a BM wrote:
A lot more of them can be in solution at the same pH. A saturated solution of aluminum chloride at pH 5 has the same aluminum chemical activity as a saturated solution of aluminum citrate at pH 5.

A saturated solution of aluminum chloride has a pH of approximately 2.8,
A saturated solution of aluminum citrate goes alkaline, with a pH approaching 9.
Im a BM wrote:
Same chemical activity, but NOT the same concentration.

Chemical don't watch TV or join health clubs.
Im a BM wrote:
The total amount of aluminum in the pH 5 solution is much much greater for aluminum citrate than for aluminum chloride.

Argument from randU fallacy. Go learn what pH is.

You ARE the one inventing your own secret definitions for chemistry terms.

Like the BASICS of ALKALINITY. Get it? "Basic" and "alkaline". It's funny!

Google agrees with myself and other actual scientists about what "pH" is.

WE say that pH is the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion acitivity (molarity), expressed in an equation as pH = -log(H+)

Into the Night says no, no, no, it's NOT!

The closest he'll come to telling us what pH IS is to vaguely call it a "ratio" of some kind.

I can't find any textbook that tell me about the "ratio" that is pH.

It's a secret that Into the Night will not share. "RQAA" "RQAA" "RQAA"

Into the Night is a SECRET "chemist"!

I once did the math to see how much rain would have to fall in 40 days and 40 nights to raise sea level by a mere 1000 meters. Leaving plenty of dry highland for animals to remain on. It would exceed the inches per minute rate of the MOST INTENSE STORMS in their most intense minutes. For forty days and forty nights. To barely flood halfway up the Sierra Nevada foothills.

It is possible that the Bible is not a literal truth description of natural history.

Rain cannot raise sea level at all, because rain is part of the evaporation cycle as in the rain evaps from the ocean lowering it, then the rain raises it back.

Correct. Rain does not come to the Earth from outer space. Rain, alone, cannot raise sea level. Melting glaciers can certainly raise sea level.

It is no secret that GOD LOVES MONEY.

What remains a mystery is how MUCH money God needs at any given time.

If I study the teachings carefully, I might decipher more clues to solve the puzzle.

The most recent demand, to save the USA, is for a mere 6 ounces of GOLD, which must be paid by the 7th of January.

So brainwashed Jews were indoctrinated with.

How many Moose, polar bears and American Bison were on Noahs arky?

Wake up kid, lots of things go faster than light, they just programmed Einstein with nonsense like 85% of the universe is missing

I'm still baffled how they got a 1:1 male:female ratio from 7 clean beasts.

There were probably a few places on this planet to hide from the flood, like maybe, the bottom of the South Sea, or some hidden underground cavernous area in Antarctica. Doubtful the Moose, polar bears, or American Bison made the trek so far. I'm not even sure those beasts existed in prehistoric times.

Anyway, what else are you talking about, Quantum Computing?

Retard alert, If Noah was prehistoric there would be no account of it. You are almost as dumb as Einstein.

Light is actually rather slow to those in the know

Thanks for the compliment, dimwit.

There is no account of Noah, other than a fairy tale of mysterious origin.

IMO, the time before the flood is prehistory.

A defining point for this position would be people lived more than 900 years.

And I bet this is when prehistoric giants roamed the Earth, dinosaurs, men of renown, etc.

Of course, it may be more accurate to say prehistory is before the Universe was created. But generally people say the time when giants roamed the Earth are prehistoric times.

I know for a fact that he is NOT a chemist, or even competent to pass an introductory course in chemistry.

This is an opportunity for his supporters to tell me why I'm wrong.

This should be too easy. What is required to be a chemist? Would you care to give a definition?

IBdaMann, I thought you already knew what is required to be a chemist.

You used to insist that Into the Night is some kind of "chemist".

What did you think you were saying?

You also insisted that I am NOT a "chemist".

Surely, you had some idea in mind what is required for such a title.

Into the Night won't say what a "chemist" is either, other than repeating that he IS and I am NOT.

IBdaMann, do you really not have a clear enough concept of what a "chemist" is to offer an opinion about whether or not Into the Night has legitimate claim to the professional title?

MY conclusion is that he did NOT pass the introductory chemistry class he once began at college. However, he DID get some very rudimentary formal training once, during which he learned about the SIMPLEST CLASS of hydrocarbons, the ALKANES. So, he actually learned what those letters and numbers mean for a handful of chemical formulas. Methane, butane, propane, etc.

My conclusion also is that his introductory O chem training didn't get past the alkanes. The guy can't even figure out that TERPENES are HYDROCARBONS. The basic chemical terpene formula is C(5n)H(8n). Strictly carbon and hydrogen. Yet, Into the Night insists that TERPENES are CARBOHYDRATES! Hydrated (H2O) carbon, CH2O kind of formula thing. Glucose, C6H12O6

He literally claims that vegetable oil is a CARBOHYDRATE. He is unimpressed that the "Nutrition Facts" on the vegetable oil container labels all say that the product contains ZERO grams of what THEY and all the chemists agree to call "carbohydrates".

So, IBdaMann, just from THAT is it not possible to have serious doubts about ITN's claim to be a "chemist"?

I am not surprised that you cannot find it in your heart to come to his defense.

Nobody else has either.

IBdaMann, do you really not have a clear enough concept of what a "chemist" is to offer an opinion about whether or not Into the Night has legitimate claim to the professional title?

Chemistry isn't a title.

Chemistry isn't a class, college, university, or degree. YARP

Terpenes are not hydrocarbons. There is no single formula for terpenes. They are carbohydrates, just like glucose.

He literally claims that vegetable oil is a CARBOHYDRATE. He is unimpressed that the "Nutrition Facts" on the vegetable oil container labels all say that the product contains ZERO grams of what THEY and all the chemists agree to call "carbohydrates".

Vegetable and plant oils are carbohydrates.

So, IBdaMann, just from THAT is it not possible to have serious doubts about ITN's claim to be a "chemist"?

I am not surprised that you cannot find it in your heart to come to his defense.

Nobody else has either.

You can't blame your problems on IBDaMann, me, or anybody else, Robert.

It is YOU that tries to create energy out of nothing.
It is YOU that tries to BS our way through with numerous buzzwords.
It is YOU ignoring both science and chemistry.

It must be very reassuring to have so many of your friends challenge my assertions, and offer their reasons for respecting your command of chemistry. The whole gang jumped me for this one. They didn't even have to post anything to make it clear how much they disagree with my insistence that you are definitely NOT a chemist. gfm### and GasGuzz cursed me with angry thoughts and lavished praise on you in their thoughts. Harvey even came back in spirit to support you. You created a home and family here, and they will always be there for you. At least in spirit.

VIVA CLIMATE-DEBATE.COM!

Everyone is wrong but you. Is that how you see it, Robert?
YOU demonstrated your discard of theories of science.
YOU demonstrated your ineptitude when it comes to even simple stuff like elements, chemicals, and pH.
YOU committed a courtier's fallacy countless times.
YOU committed buzzword fallacies countless times.

You've been caught in your own bullshit. If it stinks, you have only yourself to blame for sitting in it.

Chemistry isn't a vote.

Science is not a chemical.

You are not science.

Chemicals don't vote.

Something is NOT something else that it is not.

Science is not a scientifically illiterate moron.

pH is NOT a "ratio". pH = -log(H+) pH of 1.0 M HCl = 0

Alkalinity is NOT a chemical, as Into the Night seems to imply.

Alkalinity is the acid neutralizing capacity arising from the conjugate base of a weak acid. Reported as moles H+ per liter that can be neutralized, or calcium carbonate equivalents in grams per liter.

Into the Night is absolutely NOT, By any definition of the term, a "chemist".

Three and a half years ago, Into the Night had IBdaMann FOOLED into believing ITN was a "chemist".

That was before the discussion at this website included chemistry. ITN's little essay about how "water itself is a buffer for acid". CARBOLIC acid, according to the FAKE "chemist".

But then, pH was discussed for the first time at climate-debate.com

IBdaMann was pretty close. He wrote that "pH =-ln(H+)" He was only off by one math symbol. Natural log versus logarithm base 10.

Into the Night could only say that pH is some vague "ratio"

People who really ARE chemists know that pH = -log(H+)

This means that any acid solution containing more than 1.0 moles per liter H+ will have pH BELOW ZERO.

One of the most basic concepts in chemistry revealed to IBdaMann that Into the Night was just bluffing.

It is no surprise that IBdaMann is not willing to defend ITN here.

Nobody else is either.

It is possible that Into the Night TRULY BELIEVES he is a "chemist", because he has some kind of federal license to play with fireworks.

Google does not meet the criteria for an unambiguous definition of "God".

However, Google has access to accurate information about chemistry from legitimate "chemists".

Splitting hairs on what qualifies as an "excellent buffer", as Into the Night assert that water is an "excellent buffer" to maintain the alkaline pH of the ocean.

Question for Google:

"Is it true that 'water itself is a buffer for acid'?"

Google's answer: "Yes, water CAN act as a buffer for acid because it self-ionizes into hydronium (H3O+) and hydroxide (OH-) ions, which can neutralize added acid or base, but it's a VERY POOR BUFFER compared to dedicated buffer solutions, as it can't resist significant pH changes, readily turning acidic or basic. True buffers, like those in our bodies, contain weak acids/bases (e.g. bicarbonates in water) that can absorb excess H+ or OH- without drastic pH shifts."

About 90% of the ocean's pH buffering capacity arises from bicarbonate ions.

Why do you care what Google says?

IBdaMann claims that Gold is a molecule, and that the last ice age never happened because I was not there to see it. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that IBdaMann is clearly not using enough LSD.

Alternative Google inquiry about the pH buffering capacity of "water itself".

Question for Google: What percentage of the ocean's pH buffering capacity arises from water itself?

As I predicted it would, Google answered with: "The vast majority of the ocean's pH buffering capacity (over 99%) arises from dissolved chemical species, primarily the CARBONATE SYSTEM, not the water molecules themselves. The contribution from autoionization of water is negligible in comparison."

Although this is correct, I am disappointed that Google didn't offer a percentage value. It would have been fun to see it say, "Less than 0.01% of the ocean's pH buffering capacity arises from 'water itself'". "Negligible" is correct, but not a number.
