Here are some more info on the air traffic control history. I can't tell if there's much of any info here about the army chopper. It only gets a brief mention just before the crash I think. Maybe flight expert ITN can make better heads or tails of the audio.

The Army was not under Army air traffic control at a civilian airport. Furthermore as Trump already knows since Biden's DEI air traffic controller rules called for three mental midgets and only one could be found they only had one midget on duty at the time of the collision. In this recording, looks like the chopper can be seen on the radar screen as "PAT25" and the civilian air traffic control can apparently radio contact the pilot of PAT25.

Air traffic control does tell PAT25 that the now destroyed civilian plane "JIA5342" is at 1200 feet (altitude?) approaching runway 33.
This is around 1:30 to 1:40 on the YouTube video.
Then PAT25 alters it course and flies straight into JIA5342 about 1 minute later. It looks like a head on collision on the radar screen.
I don't see how this the fault of air traffic controllers. IMO at best that chopper should not be meandering about like that near a heavy traffic airport, and at worst that pilot went into some crazy Kamikaze flight mode.

The unfortunate crash of the airline and the blackhawk helicopter may have been the result of an ATC failure, even though the blackhawk was operating under VFR at the time (they were in contact with ATC).
Both operators of ATC were in the airport tower, in a radar room located just below the main observation deck. This darkened room is more conducive to the radar displays. The main observation deck is mostly used by clearance and ground controllers, and an air controller handling VFR traffic landing or taking off from DCA.
The helicopter was using a normal route assigned for helicopter traffic, and was on a training flight (a qualification flight). The certifying instructor had over 1000 hours in that make and model.
ATC was aware of both flights. The airline was on an instrument approach to runway 33 at DCA, and was on the final approach phase, when the crew is most busy, and focused on the runway ahead of them and their instruments, rather than scanning the area for traffic. The airline had priority of that airspace.
The blackhawk pilot entered controlled airspace of DCA. Normal procedure is to reduce altitude there, to reduce traffic conflicts in and out of DCA, which has almost continuous traffic arriving and departing.
ATC failed to provide a traffic warning of the approaching airliner. The airliner DID have his landing lights on, shining almost directly at the helicopter. BOTH aircraft had their anticollision beacons on, but in the cityscape of the area, these beacons blend into the background quite easily, which is why landing lights should be used anywhere in the area (the blackhawk didn't have any landing lights on!). It was Swan who called the orb. I haven't been able to identify any orb in the footage I have found.
I said the Blackhawk was warned by ATC about the approaching airline, 1 minute before the collision, after reviewing the YouTube video of the radar screen and ATC audio.
Then the Blackhawk appeared to fly quite erratically into a head on collision with the airliner that was flashing its lights very brightly.
I'm not sure if one can blame ATC for not being able to anticipate the erratic flight path of the Blackhawk. That kind of erratic flight path seems like it would have been very difficult to anticipate in the moment of operation under the stress of heavy traffic arriving and departing. I am wondering if he just assumed the Blackhawk received his warning and could clearly see the approaching plane.

Air traffic control does tell PAT25 that the now destroyed civilian plane "JIA5342" is at 1200 feet (altitude?) approaching runway 33.

Then PAT25 alters it course and flies straight into JIA5342 about 1 minute later. It looks like a head on collision on the radar screen.
I don't see how this the fault of air traffic controllers. IMO at best that chopper should not be meandering about like that near a heavy traffic airport, and at worst that pilot went into some crazy Kamikaze flight mode.

Most of the following analysis is correct, with two glaring omissions.
1. The helicopter was obviously flying at a HIGHER ALTITUDE than allowed in that corridor. For whatever reason, it was TOO HIGH and in the plane's path.
2. Donald Trump is obviously a shithead for blaming hiring diversity as the "common sense" based assignment of blame in advance of investigation.

The airline was on an instrument approach to runway 33 at DCA, and was on the final approach phase, when the crew is most busy, and focused on the runway ahead of them and their instruments, rather than scanning the area for traffic. The airline had priority of that airspace.
The blackhawk pilot entered controlled airspace of DCA. Normal procedure is to reduce altitude there, to reduce traffic conflicts in and out of DCA, which has almost continuous traffic arriving and departing.
ATC failed to provide a traffic warning of the approaching airliner. The airliner DID have his landing lights on, shining almost directly at the helicopter. BOTH aircraft had their anticollision beacons on, but in the cityscape of the area, these beacons blend into the background quite easily, which is why landing lights should be used anywhere in the area (the blackhawk didn't have any landing lights on!). These are bright, like headlights.
ATC failed to provide a traffic warning to the airliner of the helicopter in the area. It DID query the helicopter if it could see the 'traffic', but gave no direction reference for it. The helicopter pilot reported seeing the 'traffic' which was a DIFFERENT airliner taking off at the time.
Due to the failure of ATC to issue proper traffic warnings, neither pilot was aware of the other aircraft until it was too late.
The helicopter pilot was operating VFR, see and avoid. He should have at least been aware of the approaching landing lights from the airliner, but was probably busy with scanning with ATC and perhaps some conversation with the instructor at the time.
The helicopter collided with the airliner almost dead on (about 20 deg off at most!), at an altitude of approx 1500 ft. Both aircraft disintegrated and fell into the Potomic river below. There were no survivors from either aircraft. The explosion probably was a result of a ruptured fuel tank, probably ignited by the shearing metal.
There was no 'orb'. Landing lights can look like an 'orb' of sorts in camera lenses. There was another light behind the crash site mounted on a pole in the background. This may be the so-called 'orb' referred to by Spongy.
Both ATC operators involved were immediately decertified. This happens anytime there is a 'deal' like this, as they call such an accident. Both operators now face a year of investigations by the NTSB and the FAA, and both must live for the rest of their lives with the realization that 60+ lives were lost under their control.
Ever wonder why ATC operators can get so messed up?
DCA is no picnic for ATC operators. This is a VERY difficult airspace to handle. Only the best of the best ever make it to get certified for such a position.

It was Swan who called the orb. I haven't been able to identify any orb in the footage I have found.
I said the Blackhawk was warned by ATC about the approaching airline, 1 minute before the collision, after reviewing the YouTube video of the radar screen and ATC audio. There is no video of the radar screen released. What you saw was synthesized animation.

Since you aren't a pilot, you probably don't appreciate what a background does to the visibility of an anti-collision beacon.
Looking up at an aircraft with it's beacon running, you are comparing it to a dark night sky. Easy to see. Looking down or sideways at the same aircraft with the maze of city lights beneath, that beacon is damn near invisible. It's like trying to find the traffic light on the Las Vegas Strip. There are so many flashing lights and lit building decorations that you might completely miss that a traffic light is even there. It's in there somewhere, but in all the other confusing lights, they are easy to miss.

PAT25 appears to be flying in a more erratic path than the planes.
Air traffic control does tell PAT25 that the now destroyed civilian plane "JIA5342" is at 1200 feet (altitude?) approaching runway 33.
This is around 1:30 to 1:40 on the YouTube video.
Then PAT25 alters it course and flies straight into JIA5342 about 1 minute later. It looks like a head on collision on the radar screen.
I don't see how this the fault of air traffic controllers. IMO at best that chopper should not be meandering about like that near a heavy traffic airport, and at worst that pilot went into some crazy Kamikaze flight mode.
So as I said the Blackhawk was not under Army air traffic control but was warned by the civilian controller. That said I have seen a new video that clearly shows that the mentioned helicopter was not there and that the jet was hit by a cigar or a tic tac.

ATC told the Blackhawk pilot which runway that the AA flight was headed to, and to stay below 1200 feet.
This was about 1 minute before the plane was headed for its runway
Then the Blackhawk flew in such a path as to directly collide with the plane, performing an opposing path turn, at the very moment that the plane turned toward the runway.
As ITN stated, the collision occurred at about 1500 feet. This indicates the Blackhawk ascended to reach the AA flight.
The collision caught on film looks like the Blackhawk hit the AA flight from an angle below it. The windshield facing upward I think would have given the Blackhawk pilot a clear view of the AA flight flashing its bright light.
All the Blackhawk pilot had to do was stay below 1200 feet. The pilot brazenly defied that order.
But it looks like everybody wants to blame ATC for giving the suicide bomber a heads up on the AA flight's exact path of descent.
When 2 aircraft collide it creates an explosion, and when 1 of the aircraft intentionally collides with the other it is suicide!

ATC failed to provide a traffic warning of the approaching airliner. The airliner DID have his landing lights on, shining almost directly at the helicopter. BOTH aircraft had their anticollision beacons on, but in the cityscape of the area, these beacons blend into the background quite easily, which is why landing lights should be used anywhere in the area (the blackhawk didn't have any landing lights on!). These are bright, like headlights.
ATC failed to provide a traffic warning to the airliner of the helicopter in the area. It DID query the helicopter if it could see the 'traffic', but gave no direction reference for it. The helicopter pilot reported seeing the 'traffic' which was a DIFFERENT airliner taking off at the time.
Due to the failure of ATC to issue proper traffic warnings, neither pilot was aware of the other aircraft until it was too late.
The helicopter pilot was operating VFR, see and avoid. He should have at least been aware of the approaching landing lights from the airliner, but was probably busy with scanning with ATC and perhaps some conversation with the instructor at the time.
The helicopter collided with the airliner almost dead on (about 20 deg off at most!), at an altitude of approx 1500 ft. Both aircraft disintegrated and fell into the Potomic river below. There were no survivors from either aircraft. The explosion probably was a result of a ruptured fuel tank, probably ignited by the shearing metal.
There was no 'orb'. Landing lights can look like an 'orb' of sorts in camera lenses. There was another light behind the crash site mounted on a pole in the background. This may be the so-called 'orb' referred to by Spongy.
Both ATC operators involved were immediately decertified. This happens anytime there is a 'deal' like this, as they call such an accident. Both operators now face a year of investigations by the NTSB and the FAA, and both must live for the rest of their lives with the realization that 60+ lives were lost under their control.

DCA is no picnic for ATC operators. This is a VERY difficult airspace to handle. Only the best of the best ever make it to get certified for such a position.
The NTSB will determine the cause(s) of the crash. They aren't fast, but they are thorough. The investigation usually takes about a year. Trump has promised to aid them in conducting their investigation however he can.
An ATC procedure problem? Configuration of traffic patterns in the area? Errors by ATC operator(s) itself? Distracted pilots? Too much familiarity by personnel involved and assuming too much? ALL are factors to consider here.
It was Swan who called the orb. I haven't been able to identify any orb in the footage I have found.
I said the Blackhawk was warned by ATC about the approaching airline, 1 minute before the collision, after reviewing the YouTube video of the radar screen and ATC audio. There is no video of the radar screen released. What you saw was synthesized animation.

Since you aren't a pilot, you probably don't appreciate what a background does to the visibility of an anti-collision beacon.
Looking up at an aircraft with it's beacon running, you are comparing it to a dark night sky. Easy to see. Looking down or sideways at the same aircraft with the maze of city lights beneath, that beacon is damn near invisible. It's like trying to find the traffic light on the Las Vegas Strip. There are so many flashing lights and lit building decorations that you might completely miss that a traffic light is even there. It's in there somewhere, but in all the other confusing lights, they are easy to miss.

Because of the accident, the FAA has closed that flight corridor for helicopters, possibly permanently. |

Somebody from PAT25 said they saw JIA5342, after ATC pinpointed it accurately, just south of the Woodrow bridge, a famous landmark. PAT25 had plenty of time to stay out of its way.
Helicopters have a lot more flexibility in their movement than planes. I see them land at the hospital very frequently, in a very tight space. And the beacon on top of the hospital is not nearly as bright as a plane's beacon.
Now NTSB is saying PAT25 was too high, and asserting they were at 300 feet (rounded to the nearest 100).
I suspect mass murder suicide, for PAT25 to fly on such a brazen collision course with JIA5342.
Unless Swan is correct about a remote control a.i. takeover or cigar UAP! the defendant is the U.S. Army.
