CO2 rises 3 ppm per year. Trump president for the next 8 years. CO2 404 ppm this year. CO2 will be 404 + 3 * 8 = 428 ppm in 8 years. That's more than 55 percent increase since pre industrial 280 ppm. That's more than between pre industrial interglacial maximum and glacial minimum.

Oh good, Trump for 8 years. I was hoping Hilary wasn't going to take another crack at going to prison. Come on! what's Trump got to do with CO2 PPM?? Just looking over some more charts and I found one here from Sam Carama at NOAA (arctic-news, blogspot.com)...mmmm....looks like CO2 was rising slight but relatively flat during the Bush years, and then the spike really takes off in 2008 to the present.
2008....wasn't that when Nixon took office???...I think so.

My bad. CO2 404 ppm in 2016, not in 2017.

I think the increase rate is closer to 2ppm/yr at present due to the increased rate of absorption by the world's plants and oceans.

But even with your figures, so what?

"tipped the leaky plumber" believes you can stuff an infinite amount of CO2 into the ocean & nuthin'll happen. No kickbacks or ocean warming expulsion of CO2.
"tipped the leaky plumber" is a leaky plumber.

Increased CO2 on land has resulted in loads more leaves. More plant fertility. More food being grown on the same land.

In the oceans increased CO2 is having the same effect on plant fertility. There is more limestone being laid down on the ocean floor. Or at least will be when it finally gets down there.
