Right now, it's just a lot of 'free' money being passed around. Governments have to know what's going on, because a lot of kool-aid drinkers are raising a fuss, that they should be doing something to save the planet from this horrible crisis. It's not really all that bad, it's just borrowed money, and it would probably get pissed away on something similar, or more 'entitlements' for those who are incapable of earning their own. Some countries are even going through the motions, of taking action. Well, the taking part mostly, with taxes, higher energy costs. Likely most of the changes their making, are subsidized, because the UN needs countries to step up and set an example, compliance. You can only get rich, by spending other people's money, which is really easy. Lot of countries, like ours, are in debt (real crisis), so any free money, and a scam to make more, is very appealing. |
