The Climate Change religion has gone the way of many others, and is no more.

This is what happens when a religious dogma insists on a core belief that is both a logical contradiction and a violation of science.

This is what happens when a doomsday cult promises the world will end in a given time frame, and then keeps pushing the date back when the world does not end.

This is what happens when a religion insists that science can be routinely violated.

What's the next religion to appeal to the feeble-minded?

This is one of the very few places online where the real story of Climate Change has ever been told.

I agree.

When this religion is brought up on other forums, it doesn't last long. One or two holdout believers post once or twice, and then that thread is done. Even here, a simple denial of service attack is enough to kill activity on this forum. An active forum could easily withstand it by simply ignoring it, and letting Branner clean out the scammers.

There are many religions of the left, including:

The Church of Green; not heard from them much lately either.

The Church of the Ozone Hole; created by a DuPont patent expiring, and not mentioned ever since R12 refrigerant was banned. The 'hole' is still there, of course, since it's a naturally occurring phenomen.

The Church of Global Warming, which you just mentioned as the Church of Climate Change does indeed appear to be dead.

The Church of Covid still has it's adherents, which can easily be identified by them continuing to wear masks and living in fear.

The Church of Sexual Deviation is still pretty active. This religion tries to portray sexually deviant behavior as "normal". You can usually identify them on the forums by the LGBTQIA+ or similar letter group, and by their flags and banners.

The Church of Abuse still has many adherents. Children are still being murdered before they are born, they are still being sent to 'gun free zones' where mass murderers can kill with relative impunity, they are counseled to mutilate themselves in the name of 'gender choice', women are still being beaten and deprived of privacy (peeping toms is legal now!), and the property of the elderly is still being stolen.

The Church of Hate is also very active. Rioting, looting, assault, murder, organized crime, and many posts on many forums are being brought to bear on the hatred of Trump and anyone that is not a Democrat. The Democrats have called for civil war against citizens of the United States repeatedly.

The Church of No God, a fundamentalist style religion that tries to prove no god or gods exist (which of course is not possible), is also still pretty active. They still think they are 'atheists'. They still sometimes point to scripture written by Richard Dawkins.

The Church of Slavery is still plenty active, but in secret, since the practice is illegal in the United States. Slaves, including children, are trafficked into sex rings, household slaves, or even slavery in some corporate environments. ICE and the FBI has been working to help identify these slavers and put them behind bars, bur there are a lot of them and it takes time.

The Church of Fraud is also still plenty active, defrauding the federal govern of funds, defrauding elections, defrauding individuals, etc. The more the FBI and other individuals dig to reveal this church, the bigger they find it to be.

I find most forum discussions to be centered around the Church of Hate these days. They say they look forward to forgetting about Trump, but they never will be able to.

Something is not something else!

So many of your words can be paired to prove that they are not the same thing.

Religion is not a forum.

Believers is not a post.

Service is not a denial.

Green is not a Church.

Ozone is not a hole.

Climate is not a change.

Covid is not a mask.

Sexual is not a deviation.

Abuse is not an adherent.

Church is not a hate.

God is not a Church.

Church is not a slavery.

Church is not a fraud.

Or is it?

These enlightening comments cannot be characterized as "spam".

They display deep understanding of the subject and support a clear argument.

Because everyone always makes WAKCY claims that something is something else that it is not.

Something is NOT something else that it is not.

Checkmate!

This is horribly insensitive and non-inclusive of you. Your slur-slinging cannot be condoned. The correct name of the denomination is the Church of the Sexually Confused. Please take note. Your post makes them all sound like they are lawless, sexually deviant freaks, but you know full well that not all of them are lawless.

So, that would count for some kind of added value, right?

I have finally posted something that is "value added"!

What will be our legacy, if it isn't one of added value?

Was I just a useless eater who wanted to live like animal?

My progeny can be proud that I finally posted a "value added" comment at the most important of all Internet discussion sites, climate-debate.com

What value did I add with my comprehension of science?

Did I ever succeed at rising to the top as dominant troll at a dead website?

Did my meaningless gibber babble published in the "shit rag" Nature add any value to anything?

Perhaps a tiny bit, but nothing compared to the value added by posting something at climate-debate.com that IBdaMann approves of.

My most enduring legacy as a scientist will surely be having risen to #8 most active poster at this gold-standard-of-science climate "debate" website.

And FINALLY putting up a "value added" post!

I never mentioned 'lawless', but since you bring it up:

Sexual deviations may not be against the law of a government, but they ARE against the law of nature. NONE of these deviations are capable of reproduction and are selfish and often times self destructive behavior.

The Church of the Sexually Confused is certainly one good name for it.

While I'm mentioning churches, I am designating another religion, the Church of Cut and Paste. Such believers try to prove their religion True (making them fundamentalists), and use Holy Oracles such as GoogleAI, Grok, ChatGPT, etc. as if they were the Word of God.

What about this example? The Golden Bachelor.

https://youtu.be/mhjUExXV1tI?si=fFqPM4uW5WWfMB1G

What are the chances these ladies and gentleman are going to make a baby? How is their proclivity for sexual gratification any different than that of LGBTQIA+ crowd's?

I suppose it may be possible they can conceive a baby, if they, Don't Stop, Believing! that the miracle of Sarah and Abraham was real.

Where does perfect continence fit into the LGBTQIA+ spectrum? Is it the A in the acronym? Asexual.

Perfect continence for the immortal jellyfish leads to the asexual reproduction of a new polyp colony. Uh... kinda like those things people have in their ass and nose...

And who will defend humanity against the truly evil HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA?

For thousands of years nearly every civilized society agreed that severe punishment was the appropriate response. Nip it in the bud. Make an example out of one of them, and the others will all get the message. Keep that shit in the closet, or you will know the wrath of God.

It took centuries and centuries for humanity to get over its addiction to the "necessary evil" of slavery.

It took centuries and centuries for humanity to get half way there with granting basic rights to the unfortunate ones who were born without a penis.

It took centuries and centuries for humanity to get half way past its basic xenophobia of other tribes who look different and speak a different language.

But the HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA exploded into dominance within the space of several short decades.

Out of nowhere, suddenly the unthinkable became quite thinkable.

Even the COMMIES, such as Vietnam and Cuba, have legalized gay marriage.

Leapfrogging other human rights movements, the HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA achieved unimaginable success with a generational transformation.

There are teenagers today who don't even get it.

They can't understand why the older generations were so uptight about which consenting adults want to have sex with other consenting adults.

The sky didn't fall.

Or did it?

Well, those transgender so-called female athletes are certainly the "greatest threat to democracy" we face today. Famous Republican political idiots are on record with this assertion.

Yes, the single most serious threat to the continuation of democracy as we know it is the HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA forcing vulnerable little girls to compete against others who aren't really girls. That is what will plunge our nation into an authoritarian police state.

Rage on, IBdaMann, about the innocent kids being forced to watch unspeakable crimes against nature. Your like-minded allies in Uganda fought hard to get a DEATH PENALTY for homosexuality. Small victories such as that should give you some kind of hope that the HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA can still be defeated.

Ain't NO WAY that IBdaMann is anything less than 100% straight heterosexual.

No reason to be insecure about THAT one.

Humanity, especially humanity in certain Arab and African countries, remains so addicted. Marxists simply believe that all capital, especially human capital, is property of the oligarchy.

Marxists legitimize deviancy and grant it supremacy, all the while whining about those who would insist on imposing mere equality. Afterwards, they typically spam message boards.

No I am not here to promote a spin off of The Golden Bachelor such as The Sleazy Bachelor and The Gold Digging Bachelorettes.

The point of my comment is to promote the idea that heterosexual parents who keep screwing around after they have kids are exercising just as much sexual immorality as homosexuals. They are dead beat parents who abandon their children.

I just returned from a once-in-a-lifetime event that reaffirms my belief in the natural beauty of sex and orgasm.

My timing was perfect. I silently moved into my favorite viewing spot by the river when two clans of river otters met up there.

One came in from downstream, and the other from upstream. I have never seen so many river otters together in the same place. It looked like the beginning of a bloody gang fight. The behavior was highly aggressive and multiple battles began upon the two groups encounter.

I prefer my viewing spot because there are several logs where many turtle bask in the sun. The otters were using the logs for their orgy. They climbed up out of the water before they started porking. The younger ones were curious and were getting in close to try to figure out what was going on.

Juvenile otters inquiring about Mom's well being got shoved off the log by her. Leave me alone, kid! I'm busy! It no longer looked like a fight at all. Just an otter orgy, the likes of which I have never seen in any nature documentary. Five different pairs have joined up, each one finding some above-water log space to do their thing. The kids swam around and watched on as the adults all spawned a new generation of magical, intelligent, and playful creatures.

I am grateful that I lived long enough to see such a thing, and that I was finally healthy enough to hike along the river to see it.

I would never encourage those otters to practice abstinence, even if it costs them their only chance to achieve immortality. What good is immortality if you have no otter grandkids to celebrate life?

Man I hope I don't become a grandpa. Although, I think I would find it amusing for my 4th kid to become an auntie before she's 10.

Imagine a world of immortal otters!

I came face to face with an otter once, swimming in the Norcal Russian River. It turned me around pretty fast, and left me alone. Luckily, it didn't maul me to death. It surely would have won the battle.

I don't know how much luck is required to avoid being mauled to death by an otter.

I don't believe that it ever happened to any human of any age or size before.

Otters can certainly defend themselves, and the dogs know better than to mess with the river otters who hang around Jakarta. Gangs of them roam freely, sometimes near downtown, but mostly in the suburbs. They don't attack people. Ever. With maybe two exceptions of otters defending themselves, and a third exceptional case in Washington where a sea otter dragged a kid underwater at the Bremerton Marina. The kid had minimal injuries and survived, perhaps with otter nightmares haunting him for years.

Kind of like sharks, we kill thousands and thousands of sharks for every human that gets killed by a shark. We almost drove sea otters to extinction.

Additional edits: According to Google, the first days of August are NOT mating season for California river otters. If they weren't mating, I have no idea what they were doing. I don't rely on Google for unquestioning final authority, and I'm sure if I get curious enough I can look up why my local otters had their porkfest at this time of year.

I did see Spongy Iris posted a case of a river otter attacking people. I'm not convinced that anyone ever got "mauled to death" this way, but the worst cases were otters who had rabies. It shouldn't be surprising that exceptional, rare events occur in a large population. We've even got people getting killed by pumas once in a while. I think hippos are the most dangerous animals in Africa, as far as number of humans who actually get killed by wild animals.

Okay, I went back again this morning. It turns out that river otter mating season lasts for more than one day. Maybe it had something to do with the last full moon of July getting them started. Just a wild guess. But they were at it again today. Not nearly as many otters as last time, but they were on the logs again today going at it. I love those beautiful creatures, but I'm sure the crawdads hate the monsters.

The closest that I am aware of having come to being mauled to death by a wild animal was the last time I dared to snorkel alone in the coral reef. From then on, I always paid a boatman to follow along, in case someone needed to pull me out before I bled to death.

I was in a state of ecstasy as I got close to see the most incredible multicolored fish ever. It was almost psychedelic as it glowed iridescent when the sun beams caught it. A magical fish that blew my mind. But it was about time to go up for air, and I caught him in my peripheral vision as I lifted my head. That barracuda was bigger than me, and he was checking me out from just a couple of meters away. As he moved in a little closer, I moved the rubber fins on my feet into position between his mouth and me. I figured that if his first bite tasted like shit, he might not bother with the rest of me. He stopped still and then slowly turned around to go elsewhere.

Sea otters are big enough to be scary, but they are generally pretty friendly.

Before I became disabled, I used to take my dog with me to the river almost every day. One of the otters just loved to tease her. He would swim in close to grunt at her as she barked at him from the river bank. So, what are you going to DO about it, bitch? She knew better than to jump in the water, although she was an excellent swimmer.

My interstitium is almost fully recovered now, which is why I am finally able to see my magical river friends again. But these last two times, I've been seeing them do things I never saw them do before. Dog style doesn't seem to be their preferred position. They appeared to like to lie face to face, side by side on logs or large tree branches above the water. A lot of aggression in the process... I understand that sea otter females have to get their nose bitten pretty hard to induce ovulation, but I think these river otter females were all on the same cycle. I couldn't see any bloody noses, but I couldn't be sure what I saw.

I was incredibly grateful for the magical moment I got to have. I hope that my eyes and brain served as an organ of appreciation for a greater consciousness. It kind of felt like that might be happening, and it was nice.

The Montana woman was mauled within inches of her life for encroaching on the otter's territory. She was covered with gaping wounds. She lost half of her ear! She was attacked from behind while swimming in the middle of the river, where she had no footing.

I was also swimming in the middle of nice watering hole in the Russian river, with no footing, when an otter approached me face to face. I suspect the otter was also being territorial, but was gracious enough to give me the chance to back off.
