stop burning coal? I think coal is part of China culture since the very beginning.

Coal fuelled China long before industrial revolution

No, but they need to install modern air pollution control equipment on their coal plants to clean up their air.

Good news for China, though I'm quite sure that most US coal plants have decent air pollution controls.

Only 1 US coal plant has it. Only the John W. Turk Jr. coal plant commissioned in 2012 has it. It's expensive and requires government funding. America has no money to build anything. 22 trillion in debt and trillions in annual deficit.

China's culture? You mean the culture of revolution after revolution? How can that be called a culture?

It doesn't require government funding. Practically all coal plants in the U.S. have pollution controls. Coal is quite clean today.
