Vermont's Republican Gov. Phil Scott said he couldn't support the initiative if it amounts to a tax on carbon. A spokesman for Maine's Democratic Gov. Janet Mills said states like Maine have unique transportation issues and will be "appropriately cautious." Democrat spreading the tax virus in the northeast states, and hoping to infect the entire east coast. Fortunately, many see it as increase in gas prices, and not just a tax on producers, who would just pass the additional cost onto consumers. The article is a little long, but scary as hell though. They keep going over the billions of dollars governments could raise, by signing up for this carbon tax scheme. The sort of gloss over stuff, where other folks get a share of the plunder. We all have to pay attention, those sneaky bastards are working on the weaker, socialist friendly states first. Probably going to use some of that CO2-Forcing magic, to enslave neighboring states. Fortunately, Trump has the senate tied up for a while, so no climate legislation will pass anytime soon. Of course, after the acquittal, the House will be busy with the 2.0 version, with little time or interest to spare on stealing from the American people.

Trump doesn't discriminate, he treats everybody the same. He doesn't hire based on race or gender, but by who is most qualified to do the job. What does you racist views, have to do with carbon taxing getting slipped on the state level. You ought to be a little concerned, your state is right near there, an a democrat governor too. Carbon tax doesn't just effect the price at the pump, but everything else. Trucking, is still how much of the goods make to retail stores. You should be extra worried, since you are living off government handouts, and they are slow to give out, cost of living increases.
