Well, that's California, most of the cost of a meal, there is a surcharge for something, or another. They also have a surcharge for ObamaCare. Many add on a 'tip' for you as well, whether you appreciated the food or service, or not. Basically, if they just raised the menu prices, it's just being greedy, surcharges are like donations, plays on sympathy.

Kind of like the 'resort fees' or 'airline fees' being added everywhere. It's just misrepresenting your prices.

Some of these idiots are getting sued for it. Successfully, too.
