IBdaMann debunked This thread by IBdaMann is NOT an accurate definition of "biogeochemistry". More recent controversy is about the term "paleobiogeochemistry". "...there is no such thing as paleobiogeochemistry." - IBdaMann Another fake science term exposed as a fraud. As this thread reveals, IBdaMann is an expert at digging up the dirt on fake science term frauds. In THIS thread, the meaningless buzzword "biogeochemistry" is exposed for what it is. "..a religious movement based on a personality." Maybe a similar investigation can dig up the roots of this non-science "paleobiogeochemistry" hoax. If there is anyone who knows the Gospel Truth about which terms in science have an acceptable unambiguous definition, versus those fake terms being thrown around which are just meaningless buzzwords... A new thread could be called "Debunking paleobiogeochemistry" Or that investigation could be piggybacked on to the investigation already revealed in THIS thread. It seems quite plausible that "paleobiogeochemistry" grew out of the same "religious movement based on a personality" that is the true definition of "biogeochemistry". Maybe as the fake Russian scientist got much older, he started thinking in terms of "paleo.." Geezer fake science. Anyway, we already know that the Gospel Truth is that: "There is no such thing as paleobiogeochemistry.", because IBdaMann says so. That is obviously proof enough, but "skeptics" might not be convinced without something they naively refer to as "evidence". "There is no such thing as biogeochemistry." - IBdaMann "There is no such thing as biogeochemistry." - Into the Night REALITY CHECK: Actually, there IS such a thing as biogeochemistry. So easily confirmed by the simplest search. A dictionary, for example. But if one REFUSES TO BELIEVE that there is such a thing as biogeochemistry, an extensive enough search might reveal corroborating evidence for their faith. A TRUE SCIENTIFIC GENIUS has already done the investigation to actually "debunk" biogeochemistry. see below "Paleobiogeochemistry" is probably part of the same conspiracy. IBdaMann wrote: |

Do I even EXIST? Coming to grips with the depths of my delusions... For decades, I believed that I was a PhD biogeochemist. My delusion was of a profession that doesn't even exist. For decades, I believed that I had many colleagues who were also biogeochemists. I think they were real people, but how can I be sure? My delusion was so intricately detailed, I believed I had published a paper in a journal called BIOGEOCHEMISTRY. I believed that I had published it in 1998. Biogeochemistry volume 42, pages 189-220. According to my delusion, 475 peer-reviewed scientific papers had CITED this paper that I believed I had authored. But there is NO SUCH THING as biogeochemistry. I have to face reality and keep remembering that. As I learned from the post below, the only thing that might accurately be labeled "biogeochemistry" is really just some kind of WACKY religion. This is an existential crisis for me. My profession was never real. My colleagues, if they even really existed, weren't really scientists. That paper I thought I published... That degree I thought I had earned... Those scientific conferences where I believed I was an invited speaker. Those new papers where I still think I see my own name being cited for some kind of "biogeochemistry" research that couldn't possibly be real. Who am I? Do I even EXIST? So, what makes climate-debate.com such an attractive website for so much active discussion about... Climate? Well, just look at what the two most active members have to offer! This highly enlightening post (below) by IBdaMann reveals the ugly truth about biogeochemistry. This website might be the only place where you can find "scientists" who are so well informed that they can tell you... "Biogeochemistry is a religious movement based on a personality, i.e. the failed Russian chemist Vladimir Vernadsky." - IBdaMann Who knew? IBdaMann knew! What other website identifies this WACKY religion that calls itself "science"? Where else can a new member join to get in on such an informative discussion? A place where they aren't afraid to tell you the truth that IBdaMann has so bravely exposed to so many new members over the past ten years... Another confounding variable, and a BIG one at that. The puzzle to be solved is how to attribute responsibility for the death of climate-debate.com Two members are identified as potentially being more responsible than any other member for killing climate-debate.com However, there is a very important confounding variable that changed in only the past six or seven months. The GOOGLE EFFECT! How did I find the website? I did a Google search. With the keywords "climate change discussion website" THIS website, climate-debate.com, showed up on the first page of the Google search results, relatively near the top as I recall. Over the past two and a half years, I have OFTEN ranted about the fact that Google displays climate-debate.com as if it were a valid and popular forum. I have seen posts of members who only posted once or twice, but the explicitly identified an Internet search as the way they found climate-debate.com It was at least two years ago, the first time I whined about the fact that Google inadvertently was baiting tree huggers into a troll gang rape ambush. I have bitched about it often and consistently. I often re-tested Google search results, with multiple variations on climate related discussion website keywords They kept showing climate-debate.com as if it were a valid and popular forum. And six or seven months ago, I posted that Google stopped doing this. I can't say exactly when, I'd have to check my posts here, but I think the last time I tested it with Google still showing climate-debate.com was March or so. Some time before May of this year, Google stopped including climate-debate.com on page one results of searches for climate discussion sites. In March, 2022, new members were signing up at LEAST once or twice a week. So, that is when I began MY participation killing the website. But that pace kept up for pretty much the first two full years of my on again off again participation here - one or two new members a week. Now, how many new members since March, 2024? When the GOOGLE FACTOR kicked in as a confounding variable in the puzzle. Did GOOGLE KILL climate-debate.com? Did Google, by discontinuing its practice of displaying climate-debate.com in search results for climate discussion websites, KILL climate-debate.com? No, But for years, Google kept climate-debate.com on artificial life support. Unable to retain preexisting members, or create a growing following by word of mouth from satisfied members, climate-debate.com depended entirely on the influx of new members directed here by Google searches. It baited many innocent environmentalists into a "define your terms you moron" ambush. But now, that no longer happens. Did we have only ONE new member who posted more than once in the last six or seven months? Google didn't kill it. It just disconnected the life support.
