Some might find this interesting. What they fail to mention is if something changes how strong the AMOC is or if some geologic event might be responsible for causing a change in that circulation.

...@All,
..This link is from April 12th, 2018. Click on the middle of the first sentence, it is a link to another article on the cool area of the North Atlantic. This area was also colder than the surrounding seas before. Then it warmed again. Something could be causing cold water from the ocean's floor to upwell.
..This link (https://photos.app.goo.gl/tkidzpUpQDcHowQB7) shows a snip taken from this link (https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/4609) had similar cooling in 1991.
..This is where scientists need to remember previous anomalies because when they don't then they're not considering the history of that area and can come to the wrong conclusion. A different link to the Gulf Stream slowing.

..This link is to earthquakes in that area before cooling.
1975-1984 4.5 magnitude and greater, 127 https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipOBixiW4FjRdbdGibIWDTnUBnsskW-3_aSXwxum

2005-2104 4.5 magnitude and greater, https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipM5xx9NVwWLNCXDS8gUvd1HzuKA83HKuZ_JJJZE

..The 1975-1984 is when the current warming period started. This oversight is what concerns me the most. If they're unaware of the geologic activity precipitating warming then they can't consider how it impacts surface warming.
.And just for fun, the Greenland Sea abyss warming. I'll need to search for more recent research. This is up to 2013.

..Could be multiple causes of why the water's surface temperature cools around the south tip of Greenland and up into the Labrador Current. Around 1920 the warming in that area caused white whales to move up to the Hudson Bay area. What caused that area to warm from 1920 thru 1965 when it suddenly cooled ?
..It seems scientists are ignoring the history of that area and why I think the research so far is lacking. It's not helping to understand why that area warms and cools regardless what the rest of the seas are doing.
..And right now everyone could be thinking Go Away. This song is by a bunch of Romanian kids.
I think Andrei is 15 now and Andreea might also be. The video was made when they were about 13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOPqW1zRuvU
