We need to stop believing that excess is successful, and ridicule people who believe this is how to get adoration and positive affirmation. Taking what you need and nothing more is the socially responsible and fashionable way to live now and this needs to be expressed by all that want the human race to survive. We all need to work together regardless of colour, country, religion or any other differences we have that are inconsequential to survival of a civilised society dedicated to providing a healthy environment for all species and life on this planet. As individuals we can stop buying things we really don't need, especially from foreign countries. Buy locally produced food as much as possible. Stop using electric, gas, diesel, petrol or anything you burn as much as possible. Don't expect the government to save you, democratic society is about creating your own decisions and being considerate of you fellow man. Doing things just for the fun, because we have the money or time and desire attention, for the excessive anti-social behaviour promoted needs to be shameful. Just don't buy into it!!

So you will be considerate of me (your fellow man) as long as I live my life as YOU see fit? Who the hell are you?

What's wrong with burning fuel anyway??

If I buy less, use less, would there be less jobs for other people? Maybe my own job would get cut, since people aren't buying as much. How are people even going to afford the bare necessities to survive, if there aren't enough jobs? Maybe, we could tax the hell out of those rich companies and corporations, and the people working for them. You know, the people that provide jobs, so we can earn money, to pay for what we want and need. If people aren't buying their products and services, why pay people to sit around waiting for customers? Why work, if the government is collecting taxes, just to pass out to the non-working people?

You might derive some sort of pleasure from burning fuels, using electricity. They only joy in life, should come on the days the socialist government feels generous enough to pass out food and toilet paper every month (or so). You'll appreciate having a generous, and government most, on those days. Gives you something to look forward to, over the next month or so. Takes longer, if you whine and complain. But, if you cheer, and appreciate enough, they might give you two rolls of toilet paper.

Remember last winter, when the did the lockdown thing, and people instinctively hoarded toilet paper...

Think it means you can't have a bowl of rice, until everyone else on the planet has a bowl of rice. Having a beer and a ribeye steak, would be 'excess', if someone else didn't get their bowl of rice for the day's labor. Does matter how hard you work, or how many hours, you are still only entitled to one bowl of rice, unless everyone gets more.

If course fossils don't burn... But, what happened to the organic matter, that created the void, in which the mineralized water settled, to form the fossil? Had to seep out to form the void? where'd it go, what happened to it? An assortment of carbon-based molecules doesn't just vanish, like magic.

I think you don't produce much of anything...probably a student in some school that has filled your head with this crap.

You don't like fun? You don't like money? You do crave attention, but ridiculing people is not a good way to have fun. It is not only shameful, It is a fallacy. You seem to be very anti-social. The sad fact is that we will never be able to rely on everybody around the world (or even a significant proportion) changing their habits. It's an unrealistic expectation

Firstly, there are the climate change deniers who will refuse to do so.

Then there will be people who acknowledge there's a problem but won't do anything about it.

The solution has be a scientific/technological one.

Unfortunately, I don't see how artificial trees can be the answer as they can only remove ambient CO2 and will have relatively little effect.

Wind power seems to be an increasingly appealing option but not all countries have the climate or terrain to make this possible.

Maybe there will come a time when countries where wind power isn't feasible will buy electricity off other countries who can produce an amount that exceeds their needs and can sell the surplus.

It looks like carbon capture and storage is the option that will have the biggest impact but I would imagine that capture is easier to accomplish than storage.

Therefore, is it theoretically possible to capture carbon and store it temporarily until there is a infrastructure in place that allows for permanent storage?

P.S. Climate change deniers need not reply.

It's a very dynamic world we live on, for which we have very little understanding of how it all comes together so perfectly, as to support life. Seems most agree this spinning hunk of rock has been supporting life, a great deal longer, than the humans have been fouling it, always burning stuff. Look at California, nasty bastards... I don't know much about all this 'denier' crap, or 'climate change' crap. We are just on this rock, for the free ride. We have no influence over how that trip goes, or where it ends. We can just roll with it, and deal with what happens the best we can. Fortunately, the human population is pretty good with tools, and building stuff, so we are highly adaptive. This is our first inter-glacial period, as a cognitive, and aware species, so we really don't know what to normally expect, or when something is going horribly wrong. That's just politics. Hell, 8 months ago, the politician were telling us 2 million people would die of covid-19, if we didn't hide in the basement, from the deadliest cold virus, ever to infect the human population. Only a Joe Biden supporter would accept basement confinement forever, and ever, or until a holy vaccine could be administered to the ignorant masses. Don't think we are going to get any where near 2 million deaths from covid in America, probably not even the entire world, for that matter. Most recently, the well respect prophet, Dr. Fauci predicts 400,000 deaths by the end of the year. Don't see that happening either. These predictions, are based on the same flawed computer modeling scam/scheme. Probably on the same computers running the climate change, video games.

I don't know if there is any actual 'problem', but I do know that the political-panic, doesn't rise to crisis level. I like a warmer climate anyway. Probably just polar bears and penguins might take issue. Not sure if any Eskimo will miss polar bears knocking over their trashcans, scattering garbage all over the neighborhood.

Why waste energy on carbon capture? We barely produce what we need, buy burning fossil fuels. We are going to to take a huge reduction, when we go to solar panels and pinwheels. Not to mention the huge jump in demand for electricity. Got a charge all those electric cars off something.

Can't stand the heat, buy a damn Air Conditioner. Of course, it's basically useless in California, rolling blackouts daily... And the still burning fossil fuels, and apparently everything else.

Firstly, there are the climate change deniers who will refuse to do so.

You have to define 'climate change' before anyone can deny it or propose so-called solutions for it.
AMinterx wrote:

There is no problem. It is not possible to create energy out of nothing. No gas or vapor has the capability to warm the Earth.

You deny science, so that writes you off right there.
AMinterx wrote:

Artificial trees are plastic. They have no effect. It is not necessary to capture CO2.

Piddle power and expensive.
AMinterx wrote:

There is no such thing as surplus electricity. Use it or lose it.
AMinterx wrote:

It's easy to extract CO2 out of the atmosphere. Gas liquification plants use the atmosphere as raw material to liquify CO2, oxygen, hydrogen, and other gasses sold to industry in bottles.
AMinterx wrote:
Therefore, is it theoretically possible to capture carbon and store it temporarily until there is a infrastructure in place that allows for permanent storage?
There is no need to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. It is a necessary gas for life on this planet. It has no capability to warm the Earth. You cannot create energy out of nothing.

Who gets to determine "what one needs"? Why should they have such power over oneself? Once again, this is where the Holy Bible can provide great insight (even to non-believers)... Read up on 1st Samuel 8... Israel wanted a King as all of the other nations had (they were thus rejecting God as their King). Israel was warned of the bad things that would result from having an Earthly King rule over them, rather than being a free people able to govern themselves under God. They wanted an Earthly King anyway, and God obliged... Those bad things that Israel was warned about all soon came to be...

The following thoughts mix in my own conjecture about what will seemingly "come to be" within a few short years: Currently, the reprobate citizenry within the USA are acting in a way that is strikingly similar to how Ancient Israel acted in that particular passage that I mentioned above. For almost 250 years, the USA has been, as we say in our Pledge, "one nation, under God". The USA was founded in a similar self-governance sort of manner, where one was free to govern over oneself under the U.S. Constitution, and ultimately under God.

Now, the reprobate citizenry within the USA wishes to be like the other nations of the world and are "calling for a King". They wish to be slaves, externally ruled over, rather than being free and able to internally govern over themselves. They clamor for King Biden (which would actually be Queen Kamala and Queen Nancy, and their demonic underlings). The aforementioned "rulers" would thus likewise turn us over to global governance, whereby every nation is to be globally ruled over by the head(s) of the United Nations. The same bad things that were warned about in 1 Samuel (and much, much worse) will likewise shortly come to be (this time on a global scale).

In conclusion, "there is nothing new under the Sun"... We are simply repeating the same mistakes that we have already made throughout history... I will leave you with the words of Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 (NIV) ...

(9) What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. (10) Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. (11) No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come
will not be remembered by those who follow them.

This sort of thing is what the Demonrats want for the USA... This is the sort of thing that Satan wants for the whole world... It would be wise for us to immediately reject the notion of submitting ourselves to the external rule of the United Nations before it is too late... At such a point, it is my conjecture that God will not listen to the cries of those who denounced his rule and instead willingly submitted their wrists into the shackles of the United Nations...

Not feasible.

You can't have the local farms that you just promoted above, (producing enough food to feed the populace), if you don't allow them to make use of the electric, gas, diesel, petrol, etc. that is necessary to run the equipment that is used to dig up the ground, plant the crop, spray the weeds, water the crop, harvest the crop, transport the crop, store the crop, etc. etc...

You really do need to get outside of the city more often before you start mindlessly spouting off such things...

I don't. I am one of them "flyover country folk"... I can take care of myself.

democratic society is about creating your own decisions and being considerate of you fellow man.

LIE. You wish to be externally ruled over by an Earthly King, rather than internally ruled (self-governed), under God (as I have explained in detail above). You have, within this very comment alone, been advocating for external governmental forces to make people's decisions FOR them, rather than allowing people to make their own decisions for themselves. I personally consider such a compulsory and dictatorial viewpoint to be downright Satanic.

Doing things just for the fun, because we have the money or time and desire attention, for the excessive anti-social behaviour promoted needs to be shameful. Just don't buy into it!!

You really do seem to hate those who have enabled you to have your current whiny lifestyle, eh?
