Time and time again ITN. What's the problem?

Your stupidity (due to your unwillingness to learn).

You need to take responsibility for saying what you mean and for meaning what you say. Until then you are just wasting bandwidth.

IBD,
Figures of speech are a useful way of communicating. Sort of an extra dimension from the literal. Why don't you like it?

I love figures of speech. They need to be correctly used however. You did not use figures of speech to aid in your expression; you misused speech resulting in confusion.

The one absolute requirement is that you say what you mean and that you mean what you say, but you did not say what you meant and you did not mean what you said.

You need to get that right.

And I expect better of you. This is about leadership. You're not a minion, right?
Make your mama proud. She loves you just as I do son.

The very first requirement of any paper on 'climate change' is to define what the phrase means.

Any paper written about 'climate change' is just a void argument until you do.

The first requirement is to define whatever you mean by a global climate for two main reasons:

1. There is no such thing in physics/science
2. Logically it would otherwise stand as a contradiction in terms since the standard definition of a climate is of local conditions (of some bounded geographical region) and there is no such thing as global-local, i.e. a contradiction. Without a definition, any mention of "climate change" would be met by the persistent question "Which one? The earth has millions!"

The main reason for leaving the concept of a global climate undefined is to avoid dealing with the logical contradiction of a religious term that requires faith/belief in the first place. Of course, science does not work that way. No prior belief or faith or religious dogma is required to see that actual science survives the scientific method. In contrast, the concept of a global climate is religious in nature and would not be able to survive any level of scrutiny by the scientific method if it were defined unambiguously.

Hence, in religious contexts, it is best to avoid all embarrassment and just leave the contradictory notion of a global climate completely undefined ... and just ignore those who ask for more specifics.
