Dr. Michael Mann has sued several scientists for disagreeing with him. These cases are slowly grinding through the legal process but what is clear is that rather than approach these lawsuits honestly he has been playing a waiting game. Probably to get enough seniority in his Penn. State University office to retire before he is shown as the incompetent fakir he is.

Sitting before Congress he attempts to make himself the slighted person. He who has caused Trillions of dollars to be spent for or against him.

Mann continues to call people names rather than provide scientific proof of anything.

For those unaware of it he has sued Dr. Peter Bell in Canadian courts. Bell stood up to him. Obviously Mann thought that Bell would crawl for forgiveness because instead of presenting his case, Mann cried for time to prepare. If he sued shouldn't he already have been prepared? The postponement of the case was accepted by the defense on the grounds that Dr. Mann supply the dataset he used for his famous Hockey Stick chart.

The reason is that Mann never published this data and all criticized his work for many reasons having to do with the missing and known climate conditions.

For instance: Missing from the Hockey Stick was the Medieval Warm Period and the Maunder Minimum (the little ice age). The first was warmer than today while the second would have demonstrated that climate extremes are neither unexpected or unusual.

Mann's excuse for the missing extremes were that they were only a localized feature of Europe. Well, there are both historical records and geological records from all over the world that demonstrate that these were world wide events.

But if you could claim these to be localized events they would become nothing more than the chaotic weather events and therefore it would discount the Sun as the source of these events. And continuous studies from as far back as the 19th century have identified sunspot cycles with large climate variations.

Commanded by the court to supply his data Dr. Michael Mann did not. We can expect the court to frown upon Mann's move when the court reconvenes soon. And that will probably take the shape of Mann having his case thrown out without comment and also being charged for all legal expenses of both Dr. Bell and the Canadian courts which frown upon their courts being abused.

It appears that more and more scientists are speaking up and virtually ALL of them refute the AGW True Believer's claims.
