Does anyone have insight into the outcome of the Cancun agreement regarding REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation)?

Before the conference there was a lot of talk about the promising outlook for the parties to find a solution in this specific area.
But now, after COP16, when you read about the results in the media, it's hard to find any conclusive facts about REDD at all. Just some vague words that progress has been made...

So what happened?

Dear Jeppe,

I have also tried my best to identify the REDD outcomes of COP16, and during my search I came across the condensed update.

Published by someone called REDD monitor.
I have not had the time to verify the content, but it seems reasonable so far.

Please post other updates and insights you bump into.

Yours,
Rasmus
