The Medieval Warm Period was regional, with some regions warm and other regions cool. Globally, the Medieval Warm Period was cooler than now.

I doubt that there is sufficient evidence to support this bald contention. The above statement applies to present climate as well: some regions warm and other regions cool. that's the way climate works.

Actually, no. Mann's Hockey Stick has been thoroughly discredited because it mixes proxy data sets in inappropriate ways, leading to erroneous conclusions.
