Might as well say all the heat from the sun goes into the ocean so it's cold all year long year after year, no?

If we are so close to a climate-crisis, why are we still having severe winter weather every year? Doesn't CO2 work the same during the winter months?

Heh. Sorry about that storm we sent you! Glad you are in Florida to weather it out!

We have another series of storms coming in. They are approaching our shores even now. I don't think these will be as nasty as that last one though!

The only way there could be a warming trend, is if they throw out winter temperature readings. Maybe they know they can't depend on everyone actually going out in the cold to check their thermometers regular. Doesn't really support warming anyway...

We only got a daytime high of 53 F today, suppose to drop to low 40s tonight. This isn't suppose to happen in Florida, and the IPCC is concerned about a few degrees warming by 2100? They really need to quit messing, or we might drop down in the 30s. Guess all that predicted warm weather won't come, until after I'm rotting in the ground...

Actually, the usual tactic is to start using the buzzword phrase 'climate change' instead of the buzzword phrase 'global warming'. This way they can blame the harsh winters on a different buzzword that doesn't have the word 'warming' in it.

Nah. They have no clue. No one can predict what the Sun will do.

Not at all. the absorption spectrum of liquid water is almost entirely in the Infrared. There is not a great deal of energy in this spectrum as compared to the vast amount of water on this planet. Therefore the visible light warms the atmosphere and the oceans are heated almost as much with conduction from the atmosphere as with IR.

So the amount of heat held in the oceans while huge is small in comparison to the volume of the oceans. And remember that the atmosphere also can be colder than the oceans in many areas at different times of the year. When this is the case the heat doesn't conduct into the oceans but out of them.

Mother Nature has a plan and man can't interfere with it no matter how hard he tries. Even a nuclear winter would be insufficient to destroy the planet but would only cause a decade or two of conditions so bad that only a tiny percentage of man-kind would survive.

Perhaps you've seen that movie that came out last year "The Avengers, Infinity War"? At the final scene the monster obtains total universal power and destroys something like a third of all life in the Universe. This is actually the Environmentalist dream. They think that intelligent life is the bane of the planet Earth and they want to destroy it. This is the entire object of "carbon emission standards". If you kept China and India from building power plants you would end up not being able to feed a very large segment of their societies. Here these "environmentalists" think that they can take other steps to eliminate the deplorables as Hillary called us.

Whenever you see the false climate change argument remember that it is not aimed at the elites - Al Gore is still flying his private jet everywhere - it is aimed directly at YOU.

Since most of the Sun's energy is infrared, and since 7/10ths of the Earth's surface is ocean water, that means most of the Sun's heat goes into the oceans, Wake.
Wake wrote:

Irrelevant. There is no point where water suddenly starts absorbing infrared light.

The atmosphere is colder than the ocean, Wake. You can't heat a warmer surface using a colder substance.

There is no cutoff point, Wake.

It is always colder than the ocean. Only occasional warmer air in the lower troposphere from over land might wind up being warmer than the ocean for a bit of time. The atmosphere, however, is COLDER than the oceans.

A lot more would survive than you think, Wake. Perhaps you forgot about the Little Ice age?

Life is not a movie, Wake. Infinity War is not an environmentalist's statement either.

No, Wake. They want to control it. You can't control something you have destroyed.

No, it isn't. The object of 'carbon emission standards' is to lord over people. The object of 'carbon taxes' is to collect money for the elites.
