Can anyone on this board define the global Climate in such a way that science can apply to it (i.e. falsifiable) and such that it doesn't violate physics?

I don't think i can [define it]. I just kind of get a feel for the phrase. - keepit

A Spaghetti strainer with the faucet running, retains water- tmiddles

Clouds don't trap heat. Clouds block cold. - Spongy Iris

Printing dollars to pay debt doesn't increase the number of dollars. - keepit

If Venus were a black body it would have a much much lower temperature than what we found there.- tmiddles

Ah the "Valid Data" myth of ITN/IBD. - tmiddles

Ceist - I couldn't agree with you more. But when money and religion are involved, and there are people who value them above all else, then the lies begin. - trafn

You are completely misunderstanding their use of the word "accumulation"! - Climate Scientist.

The Stefan-Boltzman equation doesn't come up with the correct temperature if greenhouse gases are not considered - Hank

:*sigh* Not the "raw data" crap. - Leafsdude

IB STILL hasn't explained what Planck's Law means. Just more hand waving that it applies to everything and more asserting that the greenhouse effect 'violates' it.- Ceist

Climate is a subjective description of how we perceive our environment. Climate is used in a lot of things, not weather or science related either. It's just a cult thing, changing the meaning of common words, and using them to promote their religious beliefs. I guess psychology or sociology, could explain climate best, since it's about how we 'feel' about something, and why we describe it a certain way. Global climate? Not sure how to describe the way I feel about the world, mostly disappointed.

Yes. Exactly. When I was growing up, we had a word for the environment. That word was "environment" and it meant the nature of the local area or region. We also had a word for ecology. That word was "ecology" and it referred to the living things, their interaction and their habitats in a local area or region. We had a word for the weather too, and it was "weather" and it meant all the measurable parameters of the atmosphere in the local area or region.

We also learned that, across the earth there are many local areas or regions. In fact there are millions of them. We learned that the conditions for a local area or region, bounded by a time frame constituted a "climate."

Well, the Global Warming religion formed and hijacked the word "climate" for their prime deity and named her "Climate" and gave her dominion over mother earth, meaning over all environments, all ecosystems, all weather and even over some geological forces (volcanoes, thermal vents, plate tectonics, etc.). Suddenly it was like Socialism had taken over the planet and there was no more local anything; everything about the earth was globally planned and controlled by Climate.

Just like a socialist government, we became dependent on Climate for humanity's existence, and in return we the people granted Climate the magickal superpower to perform miracles, called "forcings," her favorites being "feedbacks" (thermal, climate, environmental, radiative, etc.) and extreme weather events (hurricanes, floods, droughts, etc.).
